The settings has to stay at WinRT. It would start crashing again otherwise.
and is this likley to be still the case once updates are released? or should the crashing be fixed
We have been having a lot of crashes ourselves. I was thinking the Mac studio m 1 chip might be the issue but this thread has me wondering if it’s a Cubase thing. Freezes drop outs crashes have been occurring nonstop. We had v 12.0.50 and updated to 12.0.52 and it seems like it’s the same or worse.
It seems like there is a common thread here. Any word on the scope/size of the issue across users?
Cubase provides crash dumps, and lets you know if it crashed. Check those in ~/Documents/Steinberg
Most of the C12 crashes were caused by 3rd party plug-ins. As per @steve 's advise you should take a look at the crash dump folder and post the last couple of them here.
ive fortunately still got cubase 11 on my computer so started using that again with not one issue at all.
most of my crashes were the freeze crash and apparently linked to midi settings which didnt stop all my crashes but reduced it but i had to change settings to WinRT and while doing that my pro 3 midi wouldnt work because of it which while fixing one problem creates another…
