Hello
Cubase has been crashing multiple times a day in the last few months mostly while opening/activating projects
I’m using a 2019 Intel iMac running Mac OS Monterey version 12.5.1
Processor: 3,6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
Memory: 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
I’m running Cubase 12 - version 12.0.70 Build 464
I’m attaching a recent Cubase crash log report
Cubase 12-2023-07-18-113628.ips (174.3 KB)
Can anybody help me with reading the log file and diagnosing the problem?
How should I proceed in order to resolve this issue?
Kind regards,
George
Hi,
Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?
Or could you try to rename/delete Cubase preferences folder, to get the factory settings? In the best case, if you have older Cubase installed (older Cubase preferences present), do so for all Cubase versions preferences folders.
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% Steinberg/Cubase X_64
Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
Hi
Sorry for the super late reply.
I tried Cubase in safe mode. Still crashing
I tried renaming the preference folder for Cubase 12, as well as for Cubase 10 and 11. Still crashing
The crashes occur mostly when I have a project running and I try to activate a different project
Any other ideas for what I could try to fix the problem?
Kind regards
Hi,
Unfortunately you have to wait for the fix from Steinberg side.
Hi,
Did you update to Cubase 13 already, please? Can you reproduce the issue in Cubase 13, please?
Hi @georgi.joni.ivanov ,
This issue is supposed to be fixed in Cubase 13. Do you have Cubase 13, please?
