Not sure if it is relevant in this case (looks like Halion related) but a year or so ago I installed a new AMD PC and had some random issues. In the end I found that my RAM wasn’t fast enough for the processor and/or SSD. Replaced the memory and all was well from then on.
Hi,

Hi,
Did you reinstall the libraries, please?
Did you test your system, if there is no memory corruption?
I had a look at your freezedump files and they all show crashes where Cubase is not even touched in between.
One of them crashes within a Windows library named “ucrtbase.dll” and the stacktrace shows the TONEX.vst3 as the possible culprit.
As you can see the trace does not have Cubase in between, instead it is in some Windows system areas and one plugin.
All the other freezedumps throw errors in “msvcp140.dll” and here the plugin “GK Amplification 3 Pro.vst3” seems to be the crash reason.
Did you ever install any Windows Updates on your system, it is the minimum supported release “Windows 10 22H2”, but the dumps do not tell if there have been updates.
Windows updates contain fixes for system libraries, so there is a good chance for you to fix your problems by simply installing the latest Windows updates.
You should also check if your plugins are really up to date and supported on this pretty old Windows release.
I have a very similar system, and I use many of the same plugins. Especially mentioning Korg and Halion which gives identical problems. I checked a few dmp files, and there were many of the same messages in my dump files. I’ve sent a bunch of dmp files to Steinberg and posted quite a few here on the forum.
I especially see a parallel in the system with the Asus and AMD giving several users same issues. Luckily Cubase is usable, but I have problems opening projects and get dumps on open/close of projects. The strange thing is that sometimes the project open on first try and sometimes it can be up to 10 tries to get it going. I am developing a theory that it is connected to graphics in some twisted way
Yes, Korg M1 and Halion, sometimes Padshop and Backbone, but Halion on both Systems very othen when closing projects and opening…Windows10 and Winadows11
But But But !!!
Reaper works with Korg and other many plugins, WORKS on Windows10.
FL Studio demo works, Ableton demo works, Studio1!WORKS.
When Halion loaded in Reaper it crashes too…
Cubase- I have video on my system where I just trying to delete track with Pianoteq instrument…only 5tracks in the project…and Cubase crashed(((
I did it many times…crashes on deleting track
I installed all Windows Updates.
Yes, all dumps from Windows10 where many 3rd party plugins.
Tonex, GK Amplfn3…hmmm…
They worked right , correctly in other DAWs. All plugins worked in other DAWs, I tested, but not Halion!(
Let`s turn look on the new system with Windows11- only Cubase 13.0.41, steinberg plugins and TH-U:
!THE SAME RANDOM DROPUTS! ABSOLUTELY (
Every day I open a bookmarks with drivers of Asus, AMD, Nvidia, RME sites, checking Windows updates of both the 10th version and the 11th, with the hope that Cubase will work.
But unsuccessfully, only Cubase and Nuendo crashes on my new system
Hi,
You are scanning VST3 folder for VST2 plug-ins, which might be cause of the issue.
Please, organize VST2 and VST3 plug-ins properly.
