Well I would have expected it to be that laggy for the first time only. So yes - it behaves normal after a while, however I just restarted cubase and the whole thing happens again. I am pretty sure I didnt have that initial lag in v12 everytime I reopen a project… 2. You said v13 content replaces v12 content right? So these 31 patches are ok?

Regarding my MediaBay Server Client content registration tech-talk? No, there is currently no need to provide support for wrong setups. So I’ll file that as a bug, but it does not have high priority, until we would update the C13 FCP_SMT_001 … 005 VST Sounds.
And now as we talked I left c13 open after I checked the MB behaviour again. Now it completly froze in the background - to the state I`ll have to hardreset it:/
Restarting Cubase 13 would not immediately restart the Steinberg MediaBay Server, that will wait approx. 60sec, before shutting down. I will investigate this scenario further and not confuse with technical details now.

If you consider uninstalling you could try trashing the Steinberg MediaBay Server Prefs: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server and let it once import the content correctly from scratch. Before trashing, make sure no Steinberg processes are running.
Ok I will try that now. Just came back to confirm that something still isnt right there. After I had to hardreset as I said I played around again. Always that initial big delay/freeze before the MB browser opens. Then - even if follow ups are faster, loading a preset always needs about 10-15 seconds before it is applied to the pads. May want to check that. But I will reinstall it now and trashing the prefs.

If you want to check for the MediaBay setup to be finished, you can open the main MediaBay window in Cubase, that shows this “Big Grey Box Animation” until setup is finished. Same does the Media Rack, when clicking “Show All Results”.

This is not a bug. It works as specified. 
So loading a preset should take 10 - 15 secs.? That’s completely normal and according to design specification, yes.? If so, seems there should be some room for code optimisation here…

I was replying to the missing Chord Pads presets comparison to Cubase 12. This is not a bug, some presets were dropped out.
The loading time is another topic. I will have a look on it.

Can someone please explain to me how to get my Chord Pads presets for scales. I had them in Cubase 12 but not in Cubase 13.

Hi,
These factory presets were remove in Cubase 13. Now you can use the Root Note and Transpose in the Chord Pads.
Well it took a while to rescan everything but it has definitely become better after all. Not what I would call smooth (similiar to your video) but one can work with it as a start. Thx again!
After reading all this I’ve now got a headache but alase still no Cubase 13 chord pad presets. Can someone please till me in simple how to get the chord pad presets to show up.

For me it was this Cubase 13 - Chord Pad Presets missing!? - #15 by Joerg . Look into the shown path and delete those marked files (save them first somewhere).
Just for clarification, how many presets should be be seeing by default if updating from C12 to C13?
