Cubase 13 comes with 31 factory Chord Pad presets.
What happen to the chord pad presets from Cubase Pro 12
Theyāre missing in Pro 13.
If this question is already answer, please let me now how to correct
Hi,
The orders were removed by purpose. You have the Transpose option now in the Chord Pads.
No, transposing isnāt what is needed. Itās the workflow of changing the chord voicing. We need the old chord pad presets back. It Great to have the transpose option.
Just a little follow up on this. As described - after trashing the MB server Prefs it became better ( with the chordpresets). However - the whole MB in general is lagging constantly. I use it all the time in v12 to load up every kind of presets etc. and its still working without a noticeable delay. But in v13 its not useable for me. Everytime I open it it needs several seconds to load/list up its content. Several time it froze the whole program so I had to hardreset it. Same time - zero problems with v12. Hope you look into it, in combination with the graphic bugs v13 is just not useable for me atm.
Hi @David_781, we made the transition to MediaBay Client / Server with HALion 7 and now Cubase 13 also uses it. A ānon-usableā report did not reach us yet. Still performance optimizations are possible and already planned, but I would like to understand your use cases. Maybe there are already workarounds or tweaks. Maybe you are operating the system in way we did not test, so I invite you to take a performance profile with me, or let me check your MediaBay prefs to get an idea, if you likeā¦
Easiest would be you zip the Steinberg MediaBay Server prefs and provide me a link / pm them. Let me know what you think, Iād be happy to helpā¦
How do you save and load custom chord pad preset? I saved C Major scale but it will not load for some reason. Not only that I canāt get rid of the preset from the preset folder.
Not a great experince with Chord Pads.
Could you please provide a screen-recording of your problems?
I deleted Cubase 13_64 folder. It seems to work fine now.
I donāt get the scale presets either, I want to know if uninstalling C12 and reinstalling C13 will the old presets appear?
I get the impression that we canāt have both, unless iāve missed something. Seems odd to update a product and lose what you had before, though.
I get that reason for that is that you can select a root note easier, but you could always transpose the scale anyway.
So, as nice as the changes are, itās still the same underlying structure just presented in a different way and with previous presets missing. Not complaining as I prefer to develop my own progressions, but it is a little bizarre.
There are NO old presets from Cubase 12 in Cubase 13. They made 31 random presets and thats it. Even the default preset could not be sorted out in proper major or minor scale.
We are basically paying for a privilege to use an update infested with bugs and barely finished features. Maybe in next update they will bother to give a single scale.
You could just resave those presets in C12 as user presets one by one. Those will appear in c13 - at least for me.
Your complaint is about presets that are not included with the latest version - fair enough. But be real in your criticisms. Cubase 13 is not āinfested with bugsā
Respectfully I disagree:
- Synchronize Filter Settings with Selected Slot in Halion Sonic is not holding filtered selection. It just reset the whole thing despite the reset button being enabled.
- Cubase and Nuendo canāt hold custom colors. Next time you open it up it will shift the color. Mind you not to some locked position but random position. This one is ages old I am told.
- Saved Chord Pad preset will sometimes load and sometimes will not. Sometimes there is no way to delete it.
There are other issues with UI implementation like FM Lab scaling. It floods the laptop screen when you select any of the preset.
I love Cubase and Nuendo but for the amount of money Steinberg gets from 0.5 updates these things should have been polished long, long time ago.
My 5 cents as usual.
I had the same Problem here after update: I could see the old ChordTabs, but could not load them⦠Now moved the Cubase 13 FCP_SMT_001 ⦠005 files to my private VSTsounds folder. Now I can load the new ChordPad files, but changing is a bit slow.
Hello guys, I already found a very practical solution and I think it fits perfectly with the new settings! I only had to create two presets! one from C Major, and another from C Minor.
And since C13 with its new changes can be transposed to any preset or scale, everything is ready!
Hi,
That was the idea with the Transpose option. You donāt need many presets. Just a few basic ones.
How does this bring across the new presets???
No problems since many years - but now: canāt load presets (see pic)
