Today I installed C13 on my home machine and there I miss the Mixer 2 as well.
This is a Windows 11 system, the other one where all was normal was Win10.
Hi all,
we investigated and found a compatibility issue between the Cubase 12 and Cubase 13 MixConsoles
If channel racks have been configured to be hidden in Cubase 12 the central MixConsole area can be empty in Cubase 13.
We are working on a fix.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards,
Klaus
Hi Klaus,
in Cubase Elements, the unique Mix Console is empty also (when pressing F3).
The workaround is not working for me.
And what if I never had Cubase 12 installed? I was on Cubase 11 and I have this issue anyway. Do I have to install Cubase 12 to get it fixed? And afaik it was also observed on Cubase 13 only installations. Please reinvestigate and of course fix it.
As āthe next maintenance updateā waa quoted several times already to fix annoying bugs, will it be released in 2023 or do we have to wait until 2nd quarter of 2024?
This morning I decided to take my life in my hands andā¦ trashed the settings folder.
This seems to have solved this issue, at least for me. Compare this image with the first one I posted.
Yes, this works. I confirmed this by moving all my settings elsewhere on the computer, and then it does work, meaning the mixer consoles show up correctly.
But removing the settings and preferences entirely is something I just canāt do muster to do, the workload is too big. But if no solution is coming soon, I might just have to. A weekend and some beverage. Until then Cubase 12 works fineā¦
So, it does seem that the importing of settings is the culprit. Cubase automatically does this if you are upgrading from previous versions.
NOTE!
For me, trashing the settings will only allow new projects to work. Open a C12 project and the problem returns for all projects, new and old. YMMV, of course.
I think Iāll be using C12 for existing projects, but Iāll use C13 for new ones.
I donāt envy the devs who have to track down this bug.
Since the Mix console 2 is the only problematic one on my system, I will avoid it for now.
Yeah, I wish this was the case for me. It is the main one for me. I guess I have to set it so that I open another one. But Iāve a bunch of commands and shortcuts that are made for the main oneā¦
Consoles 2 and 4 failing in my case.
Itās already confirmed and Steinberg is working on a fix.
HI
I wanted to point out that MixConsole 2 and 3 donāt work for me.
1 and 4 workā¦
regardless of whether you create a new project or open a project started in Cubase 12
I experienced this with MixConsole 1.
I was able to get around this by right clicking just below the EQ in the mixer track, and clicking āset up sectionsā. Then check mark what sections you want to see.
What seems to be happening is MixConsole is resetting this setting upon program close, or project open.
the problem is that mixers 2 and 3 are completely emptyā¦
Try the method I mentioned on those mixers, as well. It MIGHT work there, too.
this is all I can show about the mixer, i.e. the bridgeā¦ maybe I didnāt understand your suggestion well
I have the same issue. The mix console will display correctly in the main lower zone, but has no display when viewed as a separate windows. For some odd reason it suddenly re-appeared once, for a short time, but was forever gone again with any project opened later.
Iām sorry, are you able to read?
Simple question but did you install then reboot your rig?
Ok, you are not able to read.
Already mentioned that this is a known issue.
