Cubase 13 pro randomly mutes audio part that was just copied

I am not sure if this has been raised already but it’s a major bug to do with Muting of tracks.

So, if you copy and past an audio part in the same track, sometimes, and only sometimes it randomly mutes that part that you have copied???/ go figure, also when exporting random parts do not export.

This is crazy as in this session I am using plugins only available on the new platform however every time I come to export? certain tracks are missing.

have restarted, same thing, different track this time.
I am using a Mac M2 pro, plenty of ram etc etc etc venture not sanoma, everything worked a dream in 12, random mute and export bugs in 13.

any ideas or anyone experiencing the same thing?

Update to last post, the export bug seems to only happen with NON REALTIME export, when I export in realtime everything comes out, which is great for a 3 minute track but not so much for longer Tv film and classical stuff, hey ho,
still ahve th random track mute issues though :slight_smile:

sure thing.

Operation for muting issue is like this:

  1. Create a midi track and record drum part
  2. convert midi track to audio using the render function
    copy the part from bar 1-8 to bar 17-24 using the Mac Alt hold down and scissors tool and drag and drop
  3. audio appears in the new bar as expected
  4. play track, fist 8 bars play fine
    bars 17 - 24 do not play although the audio shows in the track.
  5. press track mute on
  6. press track mute off
    bars 17-24 now play and continues to play as expected.

Issue 2: Export

  1. click on audio export
  2. select 48k 32 bit out of stereo master
  3. select open in wave lab as post export option.
  4. deselect real time export
  5. export track,
  6. open ins Havel lab as mix however in first case track 15 didint export
  7. moved track audio to new track
  8. same process as above
  9. this time track one copied section( as outlined above) did not export in track

10 went back to track to listen and everything played fine.
11. exported track in real time
12 all tracks exported fine including the 8 bar section that failed in track 1 and the complete fail of track 15.

It seems random, and certainly to do with muting I would suggest, however the mute button is not lit.

System details as follows
Mac mini M2 Pro
16 Gig Ram
Ventura V 13.4
1Tb drive with numerous ssd drives on hubs.
running in Silicon mode
Plugins used
SSL suite / Slate digital suite
Waves Suite
UA Suite
Isotope Suite
East West Opus suite
(All up to date to latest versions)
