Cubase 14.0.20 Maintenance Update

Reset overload indicator:
Use keycommand Mixer → Meters reset

It doesn’t work at all for me. CTL-SHIFT and hover on a single, unedited vocal track and all I can do adjust the entire piece of audio, there’s no segment detection happening at all.

This what I do but it may be overkill if you just want to reset the one meter.

The samples should go into the projects audio pool since this update, so in theory you should be able to relocate them from there?

Be sure you have the range tool selected. It only works with that.

Yeah! I finally figured that out! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

good update… its a bit crashy though on windows, but still cool

Still unable to restore automation if the plugin that it’s tied to is removed and attempted to restore using history. Still destructive behavior and requires Cubase restart to a previously saved session.

I still can’t get the new update to install.

I had a similar issue with the MediaBay. This thread solved it for me (Microsoft utility).

I’ve tried it several times. When trying manually the same things occurs.

Have you tried manual download and installation?

I’m still having the issue of sometimes I try to either save or recall insert presets. Why didn’t you fix this issue? It’s pretty important to my workflow.

Good update, but hey, still no pinch-to-zoom for Apple touchpad users? This ignorance of the Cubendo POs is incredible

In 14.0.20 on mac Sequoia 15.3.2 (Intel chip) the horizontal scroll in the mix console is now inverted. In the tracks (main/arrangement) window works just like before, so basically now they’re inverted. It’s VERY confusing to say the least. Switching between daws and not having consistency is one thing but now the issue is inside Cubase’s own workflow. I tried swiping left and right on my magic mouse after the update and I just couldn’t understand at first WHY I can’t get to the Stereo Out bus on the mixer :)). I kept arriving at the “kick”, “snare” (tracks) on the far left of the mixing console. I tried changing the direction in the OS settings just to see what happens and they’re still going opposite directions (the arragement and the mixer console swipes/vertical scrolls) the system setings just reversed them.
I tried to be as specific and to describe as clear as I could the issue, I hope you fix this issue.
Thank you in advance

Yup, I have the same (Win 11). Driving me crazy. No option to change it. Very frustrating.

Instead of opening a new thread, I’d like to say I’m poopies-pants happy about two beauties (apart from the range tool / event volume) that entered Cubase shyly and quietly:

  1. Hide Faders in the mixconsole  :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
There had been many requests scattered around the forums for years, this is it!

  2. RED OUTLINE for selected events?!?! :hear_no_evil_monkey: :speak_no_evil_monkey:
Ohhh man I know I’m in the minority but I loooooove it so much. It makes me sad that it’s probably through a carom of circumstances that we are getting this, and it will probably go away at some point. Don’t you worry red outline, we’re going to have the time of our life until that time comes!

Just out of curiosity: how are you (those, who use that feature) mixing levels then, in your workflow? Or do you then often toggle that switch?

I have an X-Touch Compact that I have adjusted to taste with MIDI Remote, so I see the faders in front of me in the real world.

If I haven’t turned it on for some reason, I just toggle the setting and quickly set levels in the mixconsole window.

But it’s very good (for me) to have the option to show all that extra vertical space to show Inserts, Sends, Racks.

It’s a good feature more than one mixer. You can have one mixer window for drums for instance, and another for guitars, and even a third mixer window for midi. I do it on three monitors. One monitor for the project, two monitors for mixer windows.
