Hi. I have Cubase 14 Pro and I am trying to use VST connect but I keep getting the error, login failed. I checked many times and my login credentials are correct. I need to have a session today. Can somebody help get this fixed?
OK. So now it is saying “No license found. Please start steinbergactivation manager for more information”. When I ope activation manager, there is no information about it that I can see. It shows Cubase 14 Pro Activated but thats it.
when? when you start Cubase? That has nothing to do with VST Connect.
Maybe try and update Steinberg Download Manager and maybe Steinberg Activation Manager from the website.
No. When loading VST Connect. I deactivated and the reactivaed and so far it seems like it might work. we’ll see when I go to use it in a session.
So Now I just attempted a session and now the problem im having is when recording the remote instrument, the audio im sending and receiving are both blended into the new recorded track. If I solo the guitar track i remotely recorded, I hear guitar and also my studio session music. Another thing, I can’t hear his guitar while he’s recording. only after its recorded unless I select monitor on the track but then I hear doubling happening.
You should try and not change settings if you don’t know ehat it does. And if you just want to try, always change the settings back to what they were before.
Any delay or double sound or routing as you explain can happen if you start to temper with things.
a) make sure “Rehearse” is off.
b) never engage Monitor (yellow speaker icon) on VST Connect tracks. It should not be possible, but if you create tracks yourself and connect to VST Connect, this and other routing issues may occur. Use the provided “Create VST Connect Track” and leave it all as it is.
c) see herefor more hints.
Hi. Thanks for the information. Its been a couple days since I have used Cubase since my band had concerts over the weekend. i will try resetting settings today and let you know what happens. thanks again
