My feature wish:
A dedicated real time stretch algorithm in Musical Mode specialized for pure beats.
Situation:
The current algorithms i.m.o. work great but sometimes struggle with beat, tops, percussion loops. That’s because they all stretch or squeeze the audio in some way. Which is good for mixed material, instruments, vocals, etc.
Solution:
So there should be a specialized “beat” algorithm, that does not stretch the elements (kick, hihat, clap, etc.) in a beat. Instead it should use the transients (like slicing it) and adapt playback speed to the current bpm. Without stretching oder scrunching the audio after each transient.
