While I agree that stability and reliability are always good things, ever since I moved back to a Mac (and especially modern Apple Silicon Macs,) Cubase has been quite stable for me. It also probably helps that I stopped using a crash-prone RME PCIe audio interface and the company’s vaunted “low latency” drivers. (Yeah, right.)
In fact, the only time Cubase ever crashes on me now is when I am using a crappy freeware plugin. (Of course, not that all freeware plugins are “crappy.”) Most modern plugins from reliable software developers are relatively well-tested and don’t bring down Cubase, at least in my experience.
But the one built-in feature I wouldn’t mind is a best-in-class channel strip that includes absolutely top notch EQs and compressors. That way I wouldn’t have to bother with instantiating various FabFilter and Universal Audio plugins on my tracks.
