Cubase 15 element: drum machine

I’m an absolute rookie. I’m watching the first tutorial “start producing in 10 minutes”. They begin by using a “drum machine vol.2” from Loops & Samples. That device doesn’t appear in my corresponding section, so I tried the file “drum loops”. I chose one, double clicked on it as the video says but while in the video a drum machine appears and the speaker starts editing the loop, in my case that drum machine doesn’t pop up, I just get the track. Actually, most things told in tutorials don’t correspond with my program. Could anybody help me with the drum machine thing? Any suggestion about how a real beginner can learn to use this DAW? Thank you.

It would be a good idea to link the tutorial you are referring. Just for reference.

That is part of a sound add on for Groove Agent SE.
It is extra content that you need to install first.

I believe The Drum Machine is only available with the Artist and Pro versions. It’s sad that a lot of tutorials don’t specify which version of Cubase they’re using.

Indeed, the drum track isn’t part of Elements.
And the mentioned “Drum machine vol.2” is a preset pack for the drum-track.

The forum doesn’t allow to add links (so it says everytime I try to paste it), but it’s the very first tutorial included in the section “tutorials” of Cubase 15 elements.

The point is: how can I learn to use Cubase 15 Elements if none of the tutorials really correspond to the program?

When I started using Cubase I already had an understanding of how MIDI works, from using hardware synths with a portastudio.
When I got Cubase, I visited a few bookshops and bought a book on getting started with Cubase. In effect, I taught myself.
In these days of the web, you’ll just have to do the equivalent of visiting a bookshop - use Google.
This for instance:

Remember, that Cubase is a pro piece of kit, even Elements.
