Cubase 7.0.4 / Cubase Artist 7.0.4 Update available

wtf??? on the Mac ((((

Thank you for that info. Work around is set MixConsole as window and redraw it to borders. Important is to set is NOT allways on top. Then plugins are not hiding under mixer.

I’v try to set MixConsole in fullscreen mode, but no luck. I’v changed monitor setup from 2 LCD to 1 and option for “Fullscreen” disapired. Strenge…

full screen mode is only for multi monitor setups

Totally knock out! Been using it all afternoon, solid as Aunt Frieda’s rock cakes. Good ASIO performance. Not a single spike. The new Strip look and general mixer update, very nice! Haven’t had chance to check everything yet but so far, suitably impressed.

Thumbs up!!!

I’m still testing, but from what I see so far, C7 is excellent!

I love the new mixer, btw. Easy to use, nice and big, and resizeable.

My biggest pet peeve has been addressed as well. When you choose precount and do a MIDI record, the transport would run. (I hated that) Been fixed. (yay!)

Exellent work, Steinberg!
P.S. if you could fix that midi precount thing in the C6.5 update, that’d be great.

Nice update thanks Steinberg. I’ve been working with it this afternoon and it’s rock solid as always.

Still, I would love to have the mixer shorcuts from Cubase 6 back in Cubase 7 (ctrl + click an output or send leads you to the channel, click the send opens the FX plugin, etc.).

Also, thanks for improving the coloring scheme, the mixer looks better now, but I still think it would be nice to have the track color displayed in the background of the channel selector and of the channel in the mixer in a same way as for the tracks.

Yes, that’s what has been “modernized”, and it’s much easier than before. Simply right click the color to Copy/Paste said color to a new color setting.

BUT,
the mixer ergonomics have been improved, noticeably.
Inserts, etc. are easily readable, font sizes are better.

Agreed! Liking this new update and it has been rock solid so far. Then again, I’m one of the lucky ones that rarely have problems with Cubase.

Have you already tried right click on update.exe file and chose “Install as administrator” ?

My daughter had some trouble with installing 64 bit drivers on Win 7 correctly without admin.

You should try this!

We have the same issue on Windows since the previous version, I think. Use Mixer 2 instead. It doesn’t chop off the Master channel like Mixer 1 does. You can even change the default key command (F3) to open up Mixer 2 or 3 if you want to. I know it’s not a solution, but until then.

It’s way better, so props for that. But the main issue for me is still the constant highlighting of objects (like what area of the mixer or channel edit you are) and the constant borders that just pop out as you hover your mouse over stuff. It’s probably very useful if you navigate with your keyboard but i already see where my mouse is… I moved over from logic to cubase when i saw how open and clean it felt, this is like a flash website with all the flashing stuff under my mouse!

I also remember how steinberg said they’d look into having an option for turning all that poop off.!

Rock solid. NO more spikes. Finally I can use C7! Uninstalling 6.5 as we speak!

full screen mode is only for multi monitor setups[/quote]

Yes. But when I’v changed to 1 monitor setup, I still use MixConsole as a full screen mode for months ! But hiding plugins nerves me. Then I changed to allways on top and option for full screen disapired. That’s strange. Why ? Whats wrong with full screen mode on 1 LCD monitor ? (of course with no hiding plugins under it). Steiny ?

Same with me, except for the default

thanks for the update…and thanks for listening …

Mac or PC? I’m not having this issue at all.

errrmmm excuse me I never wrote that ,you did

Good work, thanks Steinberg.
Only one small detail:
The color of the sample editor is a very pale blue, like a curtain and is annoying to look at. I can change it?, And where. But no matter … Like all fine.

Here’s another hint. Link channels on the mixer doesn’t work.

What’s your system?
And what doesn’t work?

PC 32 bit. Actually it shows that channels already are linked and the option to link them is no longer there. Did I miss the memo?
