Does anyone have link to this color set:
Woah, not a good link dude, itās played havoc with my pc. Yes I have this but Iām not the author and not sure I can share it. Have you messaged seyoum?
What do you mean not a good link? It opens fine on my Mac.
And yes, I tried messaging but he was last active on March 17th, 2017ā¦
I think the link just expired and he never uploaded it again because he has been inactive for 8 yearsā¦If you could share it I would greatly appreciate it, if not, thanks anyway!
Here, I re-created the color set. But I left out the 9th column (very bright) as my color dialog in Cubase shows 8 columns only.
I also used the color names + a number 1 - 8 in case you use names for the PLE.
Color Set - Seyoum.cpr (121.0 KB)
Itās a C14 project file, so only usable from C13.0.30 and higher. Sorry.
Edit: Haha, it is not a C14 file. I forgot. It can be loaded by C13 and before, too. Sorry for being a bit thick.
While we are at it, here is a pale version of the rainbow plus grey.
Color Set - Johnny Pale.cpr (120.4 KB)
Edit: Haha, it is not a C14 file. I forgot. It can be loaded by C13 and before, too. Sorry for being a bit thick.
Wow, thanks a lot @Johnny_Moneto !
Many thanks Johnny I havenāt got this one and it looks cool.
Re. the link, it brought up some malware, strange Billy found it okay.
Another set of unsaturated colors:
Color Set - less saturated.cpr (121.8 KB)
Edit: Haha, it is not a C14 file. I forgot. It can be loaded by C13 and before, too. Sorry for being a bit thick.
He gave it away free ages ago. Then a bit later iirc, charged $5 or a donation for it. I havenāt seen any activity from Seyoum in years.
Itās a nice set, but there are other good ones too.
If you like what @Johnny_Moneto posted but wish those in pastels, there is a nice free pastel set.
Chris Selim has a free set that IMO is pretty nice.
These look great, thanks! I also got a warning the file was malware on Mac. But I was able to open it with right-click - openWith Cubaseā¦?
However, could someone help me - how do I get these to āstickā as the default set of colours across projects?
I think you have to save it as a template and then build your projects from that, which is what I did/do. Unless anyone has a better suggestion?
Yes, that is correct.
Open Project > Project Colors Setup and go to the Options Tab and apply Save Color Set as Default.
Afterwards save your project as a Template and you are set.
I am sorry to have to slightly correct the two gents above this post - it sounds like the operation needs to be perfomed on a template. A template (save) is not necessary.
- open the color project; go to menu Project ā Project Colors Setup ā Options and click āSave color set as defaultā
- open any existing project or template; open the same dialog again and click āReset color set to defaultā
This will then change that projectās color set.
No, thatās great, no need to be sorry! Yes, you are right, you can do it without using templates. Thanks for setting it right.
Wasnāt there an option like āImport External Color Set from Projectā or something like that some versions ago, too? Now, you have got one customizable default and the factory setting. If there was something like that - it must have been possible to save and import different Color Sets from Dummy Color Set projects, right? I never did as I like to stick to my Color Set as is. Just asking out of curiousity. Not important, I am happy with it the way it is.
Oh thatās cool, I didnāt know that.
Great work Johnny. I was wondering, since you seem to be pretty experienced with colors, if you could extend this Logic color palette, Iād like more shades, like grey for example
Logic Pro X Colors.cpr (691.3 KB)
So anyone have, or know of, any good color sets for Cubase 14?
Oh, you sweet summer child That was my first time ever making custom color sets and I used the color picker tool from an image software extensively. Sorry, I am not the right person to creatively extend a color palette.
I hope somebody more creative than me in this area will show up and help you.
Thatās the best expression Iāve ever heard. Iāll be using it if you donāt mind.
