Cubase sales incoming?

Hello !

I’m interested in buying the Pro version of Cubase 14 but I don’t know if there’s any sales incoming since the summer is almost over, any idea if there will be some discount before the black friday ?

Never known Steinberg to have a Black Friday sale, since Cubase usually comes out in Nov/Dec (at least for the last 15 years, can’t remember before that).

Bummer there’s no sales on Cubase right now but yeah I hope next there will be some, I read last year they made discounts on cubase between end august and september but not sure they will do the same this year, finger crossed !

normally Steinberg do separate sales on Cubase twice a year, but sometimes it is just the updates that are on sale/sometimes just the full versions. We will have to wait and see, but I think there will be 1 of the 2 sales coming up in about 5-8 weeks based on what Steinberg have done in the past.

i have 10.5 pro. can someone remind me again, i need to get an “update” and not an “upgrade”, right?

also, can we get a license and sit on it until Cubase 15 gets released?

is you Cubase registered in the “my Steinberg” account? then you can upgrade. if you not you must purchase a new full license. just find you Cubase version and pick the correct upgrade

Yes, update, yes sitting on it should work fine unless Sb suddenly change the rules.

You can buy the upgrade right now from 10.5 to 14 and don’t activate the code until Cubase 15 is released by December 2025, then activate your code and you’ll have Cubase 15 instead 14 :nerd_face: :smiley: Yeeiiiii!!!

Steinberg keeps this a secret (like all other companies) until a sale is on. In other words, there is no telling when the next sale will turn up and what it will be about. Steinberg always manages to keep this a secret until the very day of the actual sales - no leaks. They are very good at it. The only thing you can be sure of: There will be sales.

Your guess is as good as mine. Usually, they got summer sales starting around August. But you never know…
So sometimes after Nuendo’s release is probably a safe bet :slight_smile:

i can wait honestly :wink: i can afford now full price of upgrading to artist version but why not to save for multi i/o interface upgrade too or some nice synth :wink:

Just a FYI: You could also buy a used version on knobcloud. You’ll find a link to Steinberg’s resale wizard on each offer to make sure it’s a safe purchase.

170 € for Cubase Pro 14 and
208 € for Cubase Artist 15

at the moment.

If you go with Cubase Pro 14 and buy the update for 60 € in the summer sale you might even get Cubase Pro 16 for free if you activate the Download Access Code within the grace period. 170 (230) € for Cubase Pro 14 (16) is a steal…

This way you might afford the Pro version AND a new interface on top :wink:

Yep, +1, there are a lot of ways to save money if you are patient. I personally haven’t used the “sale + grace period activation trick,” but that’s a real killer double-whammy of a way to save money. I’m not that patient, and I tend to need to upgrade sooner, but big props to people who time things carefully like that. You have my respect.
