This issue has been there in all versions of Cubase.
my clip gain automation is completely off after I backup project to a new folder.

after backup:
this is a mild example, it’s been worse
I thought this issue would go away with the new clip gain automation, but it remains.

Hi,
that looks really nasty - the backup is of course useless in this case.
I tried to duplicate this behaviour to no avail. What OS are you on? Do you have the latest C14 version?
Is any processing involved at any stage (Warp, Vari Audio etc)?

yea I’ve had this issue is many Cubase versions.
I have the latest C14. using windows 11.
no warp, no vari audio, no direct offline processing.
its a weird one.
I cannot replicate this issue either.
Therefore I’d recommend to start Cubase with factory settings:
Close Cubase.
Open the “Run” command prompt by pressing the Windows logo key + R simultaneously.
In the command line of the ‘Run’ window, enter one of the following path shortcuts::
user specific installation (standard): %appdata%
installation “for all users”: %programdata%
Simply use %appdata% if you are in doubt.
A new Windows Explorer Window opens.
Locate the folder ‘Steinberg’ and therein the folder ‘Cubase 13_64’.
Move (not copy) the Cubase folder onto the desktop.
Start Cubase
Cuba…
With C14 your folder will be named Cubase 14_64.
