Thank you, @fixitmania53 !
Hi @alexis
Can someone please point me to where I can see whether certain Cubase processes are included in Cubasis or not? Iām wondering about VariAudio in this case, but it would be good if I knew how to look things up for myself in the future as well. (Also, just to confirm: Cubasis canāt host 3rd party plug ins can it? Thanks!)
Cubasis is a separate DAW app designed for mobile music creation on the iPhone, iPad or Android and Chrome OS devices.
Cubasis for iOS/iPadOS offers full support for Audio Unit, Inter-App Audio and Audiobus, which lets you use 3rd party instruments and effects plug-ins (dedicated mobile plug-ins, not desktop versions) within the app.
To learn more, whatās included in Cubasis you may check out this comparison chart.
In addition, please take a look at our āGetting started with Cubasisā tutorial below, to find out more about the overall workflow of the app (and find lots of other tutorials on our YT channel).
Hope that helps!
Best,
Lars
Thank you, @LSlowak !
I looked at the comp chart (thanks for pointing me there), I have an Android, looks like I canāt use Waves or other plugins.
Is the chart a little outdated? I thought i may have used an m4a file in Cubasis 3.6 ā¦?
Thanks again!
Hi @alexis
Thanks for your message.
I looked at the comp chart (thanks for pointing me there), I have an Android, looks like I canāt use Waves or other plugins.
Unfortunately Android does not offer the option to use 3rd party plug-ins (as it is the case on iOS via AU, IAA or Audiobus). We suggest to our users to let Google know, that you want to see a similar option on Android, to make them aware about the demand.
The Waves plug-in IAPs are exclusive available in Cubasis for iPhone and iPad.
Is the chart a little outdated? I thought i may have used an m4a file in Cubasis 3.6 ā¦?
Yes, the comparison chart will be updated with the next update release.
Best,
Lars
Will do ā¦ though I really donāt know how to ālet Google knowā ā¦ anything!
Any hints from anyone would be much appreciated!
Hi Lars,
Just a quick concern regarding your above statement, it looks like you have mistakenly written Android instead of iPad.
