Cubasis 3 IOS - Export MIDI wrong signature

Hello,
This my first post and nice to e-meet you.

I recorded a simple track, with 8 bars in 4/4, just to try the midi export.
I can’t attach it unfortunately, neither jpg or midi…it’s not my day. Hehe

The signature is 4/4 but when I import the midi into another software (I tried GarageBand, Notion) I get a weird 4/16 and all the bars changed and no way to fix it.

Or there is something wrong with Cubase 3 IOS exporting Midi files, or I’m doing something wrong.
It’s useless to say that all the bookies are against me :joy: but why this is happening?

Thanks for your help
Giovanni

Hi giovannibasta,

Hello @LSlowak

Thanks for your help, I’m not sure how to send you a PM because I can’t find the option with my profile.

Let me know eventually, how I can send you a PM. I prepared all the files for you.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas
Giovanni

@LSlowak

Or eventually, just send me a PM and I will reply to you.

Thanks and Merry Christmas
Giovanni

I have the same problem. Sent PM. But it wasn’t included in the 3.2 update. It’s hard to understand. The MIDI file you tried to export is not correct. Does it make sense for me to use this app??

Hello @LSlowak

I hope all is well.

Any updates about this issue?
Send me a pm if you need the file, so that I can reply to you.

Thanks

Hi giovannibasta,

Thanks for your message.

We plan to release a minor update sometime soon, which aims to resolve the MIDI signature issue too.

Best,
Lars

I havent found a way to save / export MIDI from Cubasis 3. Can someone share me a pic whee to find the knob? This might be very helpfull to speed up my workflow in some cases. Thanks

Hi @Tim_Goehring

Simply open the MIDI tap in the “Mixdown” popup to export MIDI within Cubasis.

Steps

  • Go to “Media/Mixdown”
  • Tap “Create Mixdown”
  • Tap on “MIDI” in the “Mixdown” pop-up

Best,
Lars

But then I ecxport everything. right?

Hi Tim,
No, only Midi tracks will export :+1:
Mike

Hi Mike, yes, what I mean is that all tracks will be exported and not only one.

Cheers
Tim
