“The mouse wheel behavior in the fader area has been improved. When Disable Mouse Wheel for Parameter Change is enabled, horizontal scrolling is now supported across the MixConsole and the Lower Zone, resulting in a smoother navigation experience.”
Thaaaaank Youuuuu!!!

Ok, just tried it and it’s finally usable, BUT it’s still inconsistent…
We can now finally use the wheel to scroll in the main MixConsole window freely without fear of messing up the mix. And the scrolling location is pretty large - the whole fader area can now be used to scroll left and right very fast and smoothly. Great job!
BUT, for some reason, if we’re talking about the Project Window lower zone Mix Console you can only scroll on the tiny scroll bar at the bottom which was always a pain to use because of the tiny size. Why…??? It should let us use the wheel to scroll in the whole fader area - the same as in the main Mix Console window.
The point of this feature request was both easier side to side scrolling on the mixer and protection of the mixing parameters from the scroll wheel. On the main Mix Console window everything works as expected - as far as I’m concerned the feature request has been fully implemented.
So why make the behaviour different on the Project Window Mix Console???
For starters, it’s inconsistent with the main Mix Console window, and also the whole fader section in the lower zone mixer which could be used as a BIG and SAFE left/right scrolling zone is disabled. It just doesn’t make sense…
I’ve also tried using all combinations of CTRL, CMD, SHIFT, etc plus mouse wheel for scrolling and it does nothing. Even my dedicated side scrolling wheel on my Logitech MX Master 3 doesn’t do anything unless I put he mouse cursor over the tiny scroll bar at the bottom.
This is still a big improvement and thanks to Steinberg for finally implementing this, but I hope they consider making the behaviour similar in both the main Mix Console and the lower zone one.
