I’m guessing (hoping, actually) that a lack of response from the Dorico team means they understand the problem and are working to correct it.
Dear All, I opened a ticket with Steinberg customer support a few days ago, and today they replied that the update with the Pedal lines bug fixed is available.
Download the update to Dorico 6.1.10 from the download section of the Steinberg website (I tried to insert the link in this post, but the forum won’t let me).

Interesting, there is an update available on the downloads page, but it hasn’t yet hit the Steinberg Download Assistant.
Thanks for the info @Simone_C. My first impression: the issue is solved. From what I can see the pedal lines of existing projects are as they were and can again be moved vertically. Thanks to Daniel and the team

In Dorico 6.1.10 there’s a new Option in Engraving Options > Pedal Lines > Vertical Position > Advanced Options that allows to preserve the appearance of pedal markings of existing projects. It is activated by default for projects created in older versions, but not activated in new projects. In new projects the option “Align pedal lines across width of system” is deactivated by default. Details are described in the Version History for Dorico 6.1.10.
6.1.10? I don’t see that version anywhere… and can’t find that option in 6.1.0.6067

There may be additional changes in the version that will appear in the Steinberg Download Assistant. For now, version 6.1.10 is only available via the download page mentioned above.

there’s no “downloads section” anywhere on that page that I can see.

at the very bottom, the black section, there’s a download link, but it brings me to a page that says to use the download assistant.

for some odd reason, my browser was stopping just below the first section where it suggests to use the Download Assistant.
refreshing the page made the rest appear.

Probably because the fix is not yet completed.
For example, the property option to put a retake on a grace note is still broken.
Dorico 6.1.10 is complete and will be officially released in SDA as soon as possible, hopefully on Monday. We’ll make an announcement then. You are of course free to download and install it from the download page in the meantime.
