my problem persists , today the same story, my fresh reninstall of newest steinberg download assistant it is not capable to install anything, I mean even his own list of his additional tools.
So I did it manually, ok, Download assistant you can thank me latter.
Now on opening download assistant it is trying to download ASIO driver and it faills
any following attemp to download anything ends up with this:

the same here with mac, the last one yesterday to update mediabay… but I’m used to errors… it’s a constant with Steinberg, sigh…
It probably has something to do with the application settings.
To be precise, with the IPv6 setting.

That would be a good starting point for further research.
Yeah, this is why I’ve been recommending that people try a VPN. Most commercial VPNs disable IPv6 automatically, and would probably be a preferred first-step test to disabling/altering their IPv6 configuration locally unless they are sure they don’t need it.
