Ok , this is getting very annoying. Since Dorico 5 every time I try and install an update the download assistant rejects my login credentials ie password. The only solution is to call Steinberg help in Australia, that’s Yamaha, and reset my password. Can anyone please help?
I want to get the recent update 6.0.20. This is a massive time water for me and was never a problem in earlier versions. I own other Steinberg products as well and they have a similar issue ie the download assistant.
Tom, you can download your update without using the Steinberg Download Assistant from here:
Ok I am opening this up again as I need to find a solution. Same issue this time getting the Dorico 6.1 update. My login credentials are not recognised and I eventually lose access for the day! I downloaded the 6.1 update from the website but Etude Elements was not installed or missing. I really need some help here, maybe it is a Steinberg Assistant issue but not sure where to direct that query. Yamaha support in Australia have no idea how to help other than resetting my password. I shouldn’t have to do this each time there is an update! Help please! ![]()
You should download Etude Elements from the VST Instruments and Plugins section of Steinberg Download Assistant…
Etude Elements is listed as a download choice as part of the Dorico Pro 6 and Dorico Elements 6 products in SDA, so you don’t need to go looking for it elsewhere. If you have installed Etude Elements but Dorico is telling you that it can’t be found, quit Dorico, run Steinberg Activation Manager (this is a separate and different application to Steinberg Download Assistant), hold down the Shift key, and click the “refresh” icon in the top right-hand corner. Once the refresh is complete (the progress spinner at the bottom of the window will disappear), restart Dorico.
Thanks Janus, I have download Etude Elements now. The issue with Download Assistant still remains.
Thanks Daniel,
I have downloaded Etude Elements separately. Them Activation Manager still requires me to login and I meet the same hurdle of my login credentials being rejected. I have tried multiple browsers as well. I think it is an issue with my system and Steinberg verification, however I am not sure where I should direct my query to resolve this issue. Any suggestions are most welcome.
Kind regards, Tom
Do you have different email addresses used to log into different things?
The problem is it does not appear in the SDA Product Updates section (just the 6.1 app installer), which one logically uses to update…
No, I did originally have a different email but that was changed. AFAIK! It should work.
