@Ulf FYI : as said before, I’m trying different plugins for reverb now. I just downloaded and installed the Berlin Studio plugin from Samplicity (Berlin Studio - Samplicity). Same behavior here, plugin unresponsive after starting playback in Dorico…
Again, it’s a project with a bunch of VSL instruments. Will see if I can do a test with other library one of these days and I will keep you informed.
Greetings,
Koen
@Ulf Hi Ulf, I just did a new test. I made a new Dorico project and loaded several instruments. But this time I did not make use of any VSL slot/instrument. I used Halion Sonic, Opus player (from EastWest), Sine Player (from Orchestral Tools) and UVI Workstation (for my Vhorns Saxophones). I had no issues at all with this setup. The GUI of Samplicity was responding all the time, whathever I did during playback and so. So it seems that the problem could be related to the fact of using VSL slots…
If I have time tomorrow I will continue my test with this file. I will add some VSL slots to see if the problem occurs again after that.
Greetings,
Koen
Excellent, yes, please go ahead. That’s a good test.
Ulf,
Just had some time to continue with my test. I replaced my instrument slots and use only VSL slots/instruments now. Just to 10 VSL slots is ok, but when I add instrument 11 the GUI of my Samplicity Berlin Studio plugin becomes unresponsive again. I think it’s time to talk to the guys of VSL…
I can open a case too but I suggest you (Steinberg) has better/directer connections with them ?
Just let me know if I can do more to help you…
Koen
Normally yes, you are right, we have contact with Vienna, but to be honest, I have already enough to do with other things, that I would be happy to not needing to follow up on this topic any more. So if you could open a ticket with VSL, that’d be awesome.
As far as I know they are also pretty good in customer services.
Thank you
Hi Ulf,
OK, I understand. I have mailed VSL support.
I will keep you informed in this thread so you can follow if there is a solution for it.
Kind regards,
Koen
