Endless Switch-Loop activate / deactivate "mute" or "solo" for layer

Dear VST-Live-Team,

If try to deactivate “solo” settings for a specific layer then it switches automatically to mute. If I try to deactivate mute it switches back to “solo”. It seems that it is not possible to deactivate “solo” nor “mute”.

Is this a software bug or can this be improved?

This issue was extacted from an ticket in which i documented different issues which happend in a workflow sequence which caused different issues (bugs) in the same workflow. To simplify the topic I extracted the single issues into single tickets.

Bug (critical): transpose configuration shown but ignored by sound creation - VST Live - Steinberg Forums

This seems like normal mixing desk behavior/logic to me. As long as more than one channel is set to solo, revoking solo on one of them will mute that channel (as there are still other channels set to solo).

It is, however, quite easy to overlook the various audio sources (tracks, layers, stacks, instruments) in VST Live that are fed into VST Live’s mixing console. So, if things seem weird, go to the mixer view and check if anything is soloed. Or go to the track view and click on the global solo(/mute) button in the upper right corner.
