Ah then that’s the thing. Thanks for your help as always
Hi Daniel, after following your instruction to hold shift while clicking refresh in the activation manager, the etude piano now loads and there is no error messages when launching Dorico. The only problem is that according the Anthony, the etude element piano should become the default piano sound. But even if I created a new piano solo project, re-apply the auto playback template, the piano sound still is using the Yamana S90ES. I have to manually select the Etude elements piano. No a huge problem but would be nice to know how to make it the default piano sound as it should.
Truly a great new update! Thank you and the whole Dorico team!
Thank you Daniel, problem solved!
Ulf, everything is ticked both under my username and under Administrator.
Hi @JPGilles , yes, okay. We found out already what the issue is. Please follow the instructions from this posting. After that it should work with you as well.
Hi @Ulf Problem fixed with Daniel’s solution. Thanks a lot to both of you for the quick reactivity!
Apply the new Auto playback template in Play > Playback Template.
Hi Daniel,
I did, but it still loads the S90ES piano.
I also tried to reinstall the Dorico 6.1 via Steinberg Download Manager, still the same result.
Check the order the various content sets are listed in the Edit Auto Playback Template dialog, which you can find by going to Play > Playback Template, selecting Auto in the list, and then clicking the edit button. Etude Elements should be listed at the top of the list.
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the tips! I found that the Etude Element is somehow listed at the bottom of my Auto playback template. I clicked the reset order button, and now it’s on top of the list and works as it should!
Thanks!
can anyone help me fix this problem on a Mac?
Hi @Dafydd ,
from Daniel’s announcement:
thank you. have tried this but with no change in the situation. In PLAY I can go into the library and. see Etude elements, but they have locks next to them. The message about ‘an E licenser problem reruns every time. restarting the Mac as requested has no effect, the message returns as if looped.
And you definitely pressed the shift key and held it down and then did the mouse click on the Refresh button in the Steinberg Activation Manager? Also, the refresh takes quite a few seconds, even up to a minute or so. When you click that button, at the bottom of the Activation Manager then some animated dots start spinning. Only when they go away the refresh is done. So with this information you might want to do the procedure again.
I have the same problem with my Mac.
I went back to the Download Assistant (after the update), clicked on Dorico Pro6 and saw it in the downloads. I downloaded it from there.
Same thing for me. Downloaded twice, installed twice, but it’s as if Dorico doesn’t recognize the presence of Etudes. I’m on a Mac, what should I do?
Thanks, Ulf. This procedure fixes everything on Mac.
Yes I did exactly this on 4 occasions. With Play I have the Etude Elements but each one remains locked and the messages keep recycling
Cyfarchion cynnes, eine gute Zeit, mat beschte Gréiss, with best wishes

and each time I click the refresh button whilst holding shift I get the same message ‘An E Licenser problem occurred. Your eLicenser initialisation is hanging ….. restart the computer’
. And then this loop begins again, no change or result!
