Would be great to have some addendum that can be inserted anywhere in the naming field.
This has been on my ‘Annual Request List’ for prox. 10 years.
They implemented my request in part (thanks) by doing the ‘Naming Scheme’, but the original request asked that power users be able to specify formulae to create their own fave naming scheme. The system I suggested was Regular Expressions which are common all over the web.
+1… again.

Wow you faithful old dog you. I thought I was patient.
I’m not ‘patient’. I’m welded at the hip to Cubase. Basically, my entire professional life has been done in Cubase. I’ve tried moving to other DAWs but it’s been too painful.
MOST of the dozens of ‘Annual Requests’ I have are teeny, tiny practical things that I come to find have already been done in more agile platforms like Reaper. Every year I see Cubase getting new ‘sexy’ features–most of which I never use and the ones I -do- need receding further into the distance. Drives me nuts if I think about it.
So I try not to think about it.
+1,
many threads about this
lots of threads on this
Hi, I would like to see features added that will enable us to export a large number of audio events (like 100’s or 1000’s) in a quick and automated manner while naming them based on event names of a particular track. EVENT NAMES → select track from which event names are to be pulled from Example: Multi-track drum-sampling session consisting of 500 events on a timeline. Let’s say the 500 events are grouped by relevance, each consisting of 10 events, such as kick-samples, snare-samples, hats-s…
I’d like to be able to add my own list of Attributes to the Naming Scheme that use often like “Full Mix” “Acapella” “Alt Mix” etc. Would be nice if we could add a few custom attributes to the naming scheme.
