Cubase has a reassuring audio pre-recording setting of 1 second.
Probably the same for Nuendo.
After recording, this pre-recording part will no longer be visible.
If you move the start position you can confirm that the data is present.
If you open the recorded audio file directly from the Audio folder in your Cubase project without exporting it,
you will be editing the audio file with SpectraLayers,
including the pre-recorded part.
If you export it with SpectraLayers and then import it back into Cubase, it will appear to be a different length unless you manually hide the pre-recorded part.
Do not load directly from Cubase’s Audio folder.
Go to the “File” menu and select “Export.”
