Expression maps symbols not synced with Cubase 15 score editor

Hi and thanks to Steinberg for the updates!

I need help with an issue:
I have just updated to the latest Cubase version and I am having a problem with expression maps and the score editor.
Especially when I use expression maps in “attribute” mode, the slot I select in the key editor does not match what appears in the score. Most symbols show up as staccato. Also, if I add symbols from the score (for example marcato), nothing happens in the key editor.

So I cannot get what was shown in the Cubase 15 launch videos in terms of using expression maps in the score editor, which would be fantastic for my workflow with Dorico etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks everyone!
Thanks for your help!

Hi,

This was already fixed but the fix just hasn’t come out yet, as per this thread for the same issue:

Oh thanks @mducharme !

Waiting for next release!

Hello,
I’m reopening this thread because the synchronization bugs between the Score Editor and the Key Editor are still present and still make articulations in the score partly unusable.

The first post dates back to December 2025, as of now, only the tremolo has been fixed (as we said in this thread); other articulations, such as the trill, still do not work after months: nothing appears or, occasionally, only a staccato dot shows up.

It is extremely important that when an articulation is written in one editor, it also appears in the other: for now, even “one-way” synchronization would be enough (for example, I write the articulations in the Key Editor and they appear in the score, as happens in Fender Studio Pro, or vice versa);
otherwise, the workflow is severely compromised when one needs to write and then produce scores to refine in Dorico and hand over to human musicians. :violin: :musical_score: :flute:

When will it be possible to have this fix?
Thank you! :folded_hands:

Hi,

Is there anything new about this?

Thanks!
