The EQ has a “save as default preset” option, this would be amazing for the channel strip too. Now whenever adding a track your go to layout of the strip inserts will automatically be as we want. This also helps with issues we get with mapping, if we have our maps set for a different default layout, we don’t have to load a preset first or rearrange things.
I may of missed something here and we might already have this feature in some sort of work around way.

I will second that. I would like to be able to set the channel EQ before the Inserts to all my tracks with a track preset default.

Just reviving this thread to state how essential this is in light of all the plugin-based control surfaces that are emerging like Softube Console 1 and SSL.
It’s even essential for Midi Remote based solutions like the Mobi 1, where having a default channel strip plugins loaded up and at the ready would make control a lot more seamless.
