Feature Request: MIDI guitar support

Just a note I am loving a lot of the amazing updates and new features in Dorico 5!! Well done Dorico team!

I chimed in on this a couple of years ago and just want to throw a request note again in the hat that I would love to completely ditch Sibelius/Notion 6 and go all in with Dorico. Hopefully one day the team will have enough time to get to adding support for a MIDI channel for each string and also allow step record with a MIDI guitar!

Yes, we know this would be welcomed by the MIDI guitar crowd (if there are enough devotees of MIDI guitars out there for it to be called a crowd!) and it’s on our backlog, but I can’t say for sure when we’ll get to it.

Yes … PLEASE add MIDI Guitar multi-channel support or mono mode (string-1:Ch-1, String-2:Ch-2, etc.) with real-time input (and preferences for latency, minimum duration, relaxed chord sensitivity). I made the switch from Finale, Notion, Sibelius, and Symphony Pro (all of which had this feature). if you need a Beta Tester, let me know. … Thanks in advance!

I will put my vote in again for this as well. I purchased a license to Sibelius just for this feature and it was not a fun experience. I would love to just be able to use Dorico. I would also happily beta test this feature if needed!
