Feature request: Use Library Manager to update user settings

Currently, the Library Manager only allows me to copy settings from some source (factory defaults, user settings, another project) into the current project. I would like to also be able to copy from the current project into user settings.

I know that in the various Options dialogs, I can click Save as Default to save the current settings as user defaults. But (a) this dialog doesn’t show me what’s different between the current project and my current defaults, and (b) the button will save all options in the dialog. I love the way that the Library Manager gives me a granular view of differences, and I’d like to be able to copy just a few of the current project’s settings into my defaults.

Something like “(value)” next to the field to show what the saved default is would be great.
Or even highlighting (or other graphical effect-ing) the fields that stray from the saved defaults (or factory) could help.
Finally, being able to set to default single values instead of a whole menu would be paradise!

I think we’re talking about different things. It sounds like what you’re describing is already provided by the library manager. I’d like to extend that functionality so that it can copy from the current project into defaults, instead of just from defaults to the current project.
