Hello, just started using VST LIVE 2 for my band, we use only for click track, tempo track, cues and MIDI sends to instruments.
Only thing which would be awesome for our use, would be customizable metronome sound, like in Cubase (customize Hi,Lo sound, import custom sound, etc.)
So my question is, is it planned, or we are stuck with only 2 metronome sounds?
Well in the meantime you can write a midi track for metronome and assign it to a layer and let it play to whatever sound you want with a halion sound for example!
A trivial and hopefully easily implemented request?
Would it be possible to implement individual song colours and an increased colour pallet for the songs?
Would help me with my ever fading eyesight,
TIA.
Actions.
Channelname instead of channelnumbers. So we can assign a fader via remote control like TouchOSC to master out or fx channels.
At now I must create âdummyâ layers/stacks when e.g. only one VST is used instead of more.
Adding Tracks is a hassle, unfortunately, if you have more than 2-3.
Please add:
Option to set output and color for multiple tracks at once
Option to select multiple tracks at once to reorder (and add to folders at once)
Option to set the color in the inspector (not only in the track header)
Common key commands (copy, paste, etc.)
When moving audio track events, you should be able to see the waveforms while moving. Itâs a hassle to align track events if you have different lengths.
Allow to change the length of multiple track events at once (when multiple are selected)
Add option to auto-zoom single tracks when activated (like the auto-zoom feature in Logic)
Further, to balance a mix, it would be great if you could show all Tracks in the mixer.
Welcome!
Many of your requests are targeted towards pecific track actions, if you want to do a lot of editng in that area, you can use Cubase and import the result.
Should work, but there appears to be a bug which we will fix with the next version.
See Devices/Actions and Shortcuts. Actions are powerful tools, they allow you to apply keyboard shortcuts as well as remote control (incl. learn).
Klick âeâ on the Song channel to see all track channels.
What about to manage by app/remote the mixer or maybe only the sends to have a complete stage monitor/in ear system all included in vst live?
Or even better: Remote mixer control for audio engineer, and personal in-ear control by app managed by musicians.
There will be one day the chance to have something similar?
Hello, I have purchased the VST Live Pro 2 license and would like to make a suggestion for the next update.
It would be great if having a project or even the hub open could detect new midi controllers or audio devices without having to restart the program (hot-plug). So, if I play on a stage with a midi controller other than mine I just go to >Devices>Connections and select it.
Checking for changes and even worse, changing devices in the background can cause multiple problems. VST Live deliberately does not check for hardware changes while running.
There is âDevices/Reset Audioâ, and we plan the same for MIDI. Up until now we found no safe way to do that, but we keep trying. In any case, it is not recommended to run any software on stage without having tested it and the connected hardware thoroughly beforehand.
Try CME WIDI. The receiver is always connected and seen by VL. You can plug the sender into any device thatâs available as long as it has the right sockets. Easy to incorporate DIN or USB (if class compliant) and sets up in seconds. I use them at all my gigs, not affiliated.
Is it possible to do it like in Cubase, so that when you draw automation, the cursor in the pop-up window would show where you are (on or off), here is an example:
Again
When importing VL projects into Cubase it would be nice to get all VSTs/VST presets from VL in Cubase. At now only MIDI data are imported. But ⌠VL âknowsâ about the VSTs in the layers, so why canât VL MIDI tracks and layers not converted into Cubase instruments tracks. Thatâs what I expect when VL offers a Cubase import via mediaproject. At now I have to save for each VST modified preset as an own preset and load this in the Cubase project. Come on, same company, same interaction. Not? Yes, youâre arguments are, Cubase didnât know about layers, but what I though layers can be converted to Cubase instrument tracks.
VST what? Insert plugins or VST intruments?
discussed else where: As Cubase hasnât got LAYERS and VL hasnât got instrument rack, that area wont be exchanged.
Apropo,
Both C14 and VL2 have now the universal DAWproject support. Have you tried it if that works better to your needs?
