Windows 10, Cubase 12, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen interface. Just posting FYI in case anyone else has this problem. Couldn’t figure out why my Focusrite cut out sometimes during a Cubase session. I could close Cubase and open it again and all was well. So…after adding the Focusrite folder containing Focusrite Control to the “exceptions” list in Windows Defender this has not happened again.

Well … it does not happen as often but it is still happening. I am considering jumping the Focusrite ship for the RME Babyface Pro FS.
… the thing is - I do not have to restart Cubase when this happens now. I just have to close and re-open the project.
