I couldn’t find a solution to this issue by searching the forum, so I’m hoping someone will have an idea how to fix this.
I started having non stop graphic issues once I switched to Win11.
I’ve attached the photos to show you what’s going on. The last project I have been working on has this glitch happening as soon as I open it - it’s literally impossible to work!
When I close the project, Cubase closes it and crashes as soon as the main project window appears.
I have installed both regular and studio graphic drivers and made clean installs - no luck!
My second suggestion is to turn OFF hardware acceleration in the Windows Display settings. I’m on Win 10, so I can’t remember where it is in Win 11.
My third suggestion is to find out if the Nvidia software allows you to create profiles for individual program. If so, create one and fiddle with the settings.
My first and Go To suggestion is to dump Win 11 and install Win 10. (I’m not entirely joking.)
Hopefully, an Nvidia/Win 11 user will chime in with better suggestions.
Thanks for the reply!
When I turn off Image Scalling for Cubase in NVIDIA Control Panel everything works for now. I didn’t have any issues while working on the project, but Cubase still crashes when I close the project and the Hub windows appears.
Thanks for the reply!
The latest NVIDIA drivers (regular and studio) didn’t allow me to add Cubase in “Manage 3D settings / Program Settings”
I reversed back to 580 drivers. Added Cubase for an individual profile and turned off Image Scalling.
For now, the projects works but Cubase still crashes after closing the project.
If Cubase crashes, you’ll get a message with the location of the .dmp file. Post the file (or a link to it from OneDrive/dropbox/google drive if it’s too large to upload)
If it’s hanging, not crashing, that’s different. You can right-click it in Task Manager’s details tab and choose “Create memory dump”. Not exactly the same, but does provide some info.
Every time I open the project the video glitch starts again. When I close the project, the main hub appears, Cubase freezes and crashes. No crash dump in the folder.
I remember seeing things like this in older threads here when the new UI rolled out, but I thought that was Cubase 13. I’m likely mistaken there, though.

You didn’t answer my earlier question about whether this was an in-place upgrade on the same working PC, or this is a new PC with Windows 11.
I believe the GUI fiasco you are thinking about was indeed Cubase 14 when it was released.
On my PC Cubase 14 was up to date when it started glitching.
The update to Win 11 was made on the same working PC from Win 10.
What I did today after Cubase 14 started to glitch again:
Bought and installed Cubase 15
Downloaded Nvidia 615 driver although the Nvidia App still has 595 active
Now my Windows is kinda lagging while I type in the browser and/or wapp desktop (word and excel don’t lag)
After installing Cubase 15 the glitch was gone (for now, keeping my fingers crossed), but it still crashes every time I close the project and the Hub appears
