Would someone explain to me if HSO supports the new licensing system or not? I haven’t received a voucher for it, but I read somewhere that some folks did receive it for HSO and successfully upgraded their HSO license. I contacted a local dealer in my country about this issue, but they say that these kinds of issues are handled by Steinberg themselves, and I don’t know a way to contact them directly. Can anyone else clarify this?
HSO is already in the new licensing system. Go to your account and look under the “self service” section if you can find the upgrade to the new system. Look here, for example, in my account I still need to upgrade the Basic Fx Suite to the new system (I haven’t noticed it is there since September 2024). If I am correct, that is the last thing I had still running with my elicenser.
EDIT: re reading your post, I guess you are already aware that this kind of thing is handled this way. I don’t remember when I got the upgrade for HSO, but it was in a similar way. I don’t know why you don’t have it.
I raised a support ticket on this very topic a couple of weeks ago… not heard back yet, other than a confirmation it has been received and logged.
I can’t remember ever seeing a voucher for this in my account either. Clock ticking towards May 20th…

I believe it wasn’t a voucher like the one of the Basic FX above. For the Basic FX I needed to download the version 3.0.0 and this one used the voucher and it is with the new system. To my understanding the licensed version in the eLicenser was not upgraded to the new system, as it is the case with the rest of the software.
Ok, can you elaborate on how this relates to the topic title of HSO please.? Do you have that too.? Can you check your products/licensing in MySteinberg account and say what’s listed.? Thanks.
My second post is related to my first one, what was my answer to OP. I have HSO with the new system since some time ago that I don’t remember (a year, maybe?). What I was telling is that I don’t remember how the upgrade process for HSO run, but I remember that one day I saw it available and did the change.
Ok, thanks for clarifying… Unless anyone else comments in the meantime, have to wait and see how SB respond to my ticket…
Just as info: I looked into my account and I can verify that I activated HSO on 28 October 2023 for the new system. It is very probable that it was available a lot of time before that datum, as I was not permanently checking the account (as you can see from that Basic FX above, that was available since September 2024).

And you’re viewing this in the Activation Manager too.? Or just in the list of products in your MySteinberg account.? Does it say, ‘upgraded to steinberg licensing’ or some such.? Just trying to narrow down where I should look, to make sure I give SB all the info/detail I can…
yes, I can see HSO activated in my account “show Steinberg Licensing-based products” and with the Steinberg Activation Manager as well.
I have the original HSO, and did not automatically receive the voucher for the newer version (which is now a HALion Sonic instrument). I had to log a ticket (yes, I know …) but I did eventually get the voucher and was able to download it via SDA and activate via SAM.

There’s no info online I can see for those in the situation like myself and the OP to help guide you… i.e. its all to do with new users, or upgraders who should ‘find’ a voucher in their MySteinberg account. Now that’s all fine and dandy advice since other product has been handled similarly and successfully migrated; but, what to do when there has been no voucher posted.?
Raise a Support Ticket… and here we are, stuck in limbo until SB get round to responding. If I hear any news I will of course post that in here.
In my case, I don’t even have a place to create a ticket; Steinberg doesn’t give me that option. They direct me to a representative in my country, and the representative sends me back to Steinberg.
I have a vague memory of a thread where users of an old AI/LE version were getting upgrades via a Steinberg rep, can’t remember his name. But maybe if you found that thread and DM’d the rep?

Just to complete the circle on this…
SB Tech Support got back to me a couple of days ago. They sent along a new Download Access code for HSO to redeem via the Steinberg Download Assistant. Went through the usual motions there and all good.! Up and running using new SB Licensing/Activation Manager.
As for me, eventually I was able to get in contact with Steinberg support (by contacting emails I’m not supposed to contact), and HSO license appeared in Steinberg Activation Manager (no vouchers, activation codes etc.) Thank you Steinberg!
