Hi there,
Hiding all tabs in the Cubase 14 MixConsole left zone makes it impossible to bring any of them back. Normally, you can right click on a tab to display the Set up Tabs dialog. If you uncheck all of the options, all of the tabs disappear, leaving the left zone panel blank. Unfortunately, right clicking anywhere in the blank panel doesn’t recall the Set up Tabs dialog.
This issue was reported for Cubase 13 by another user, and Martin posted a fix for it (removing the appData Cubase13_64 folder and restarting Cubase). I also found a couple of variables to change in UserPreferences.xml that fixed the problem.
It would be very helpful if right-clicking somewhere in the left zone when all tabs have been hidden would bring up the setup popup also. Seems like a pretty easy fix. It would have saved me an hour + of frustration this evening!
Thanks,
Greg Barnett
Hi,
Do you mean the Set up Tabs (Visibility, History and Snapshots) of the MixConsole’s Left Zone?
Could you link the post, please?
If there is already a bug report, wouldn’t it be better to add another comment to the old one?
Can you find it?
Hi st10ss. I did add a comment to the old one. But since it was a report from Cubase 13, I thought maybe I should add one here for Cubase 14.
Hi Martin. Yes, that’s what I’m referring to. I’d like to post the link for you, but I get an error message when I try. The title of the post is Left Zone issues - Cubase 13 Pro.
Hi,
OK, now I understand the issue.
Cubase 12 didn’t allow to remove all items from the the Set up Tabs. Cubase 13 and 14 allows it.
The same issue is in the Lower Zone of the Project window. Suprisingly, the Right-Zone of the Project window is OK and it doesn’t allow you to remove all events. Same for the Left-Zone of the Project window, which doesn’t allow you to remove the Inspector.
I will consolidate all windows and options and make a proper bug-entry to Steinberg.
