Getting a little stressed out here. I have LE5 and have followed all instructions, installed newer licence centre and pasted serial from elicencer into steinberg activation and it says no product is registered with that serial or something. I have pressed the “maintenance” button and followed instructions. Should not be this difficult when I have the original disc.
Hi
I tried re-install and get stuck at point below :
Requesting a new activation code for a new or renewed system
If you change your system or renew it you of course need a new activation code. In this case you have to go through the reactivation procedure.
This is a general step-by-step guide:
• You need a user account at the MySteinberg website, please log in with your account data
• On the left side click at “Activation & Reactivation”
• Click on the name of the product which you want to reactivate.
• Click on "Reactivation
• Follow the instructions there, enter you new SeL number.
I cannot get passed click on reactivation instruction due to issues below :
There are two choices-either Request support or Software reactivation and above them is the choice Reactivate.
If i choose Software reactivation-it loads a new screen with this message :
“Please enter the new Soft-eLicenser number. A reactivation provides you with new Activation Codes for all contained product licenses to download them again via the eLicenser Control Center after a reinstallation of the operating system or the switch to a new computer.”
But I do not get an email with a new SeL number.
I also tried reactivate button above and get message
Please select the Soft-eLicenser you intend to reactivate. You will receive new Activation Codes for all contained product licenses to download them again via the eLicenser Control Center after a reinstallation of the operating system or the switch to a new computer.
But do not get any e-mail activation code?
Thanks Steve

Hi all,
it would be nice if someone could send me a PB as to how to activate Cubase LE 7. I have it all. Activation codes and such.
even an elicenser WHICH does not seem to communicate with the internet for some reason.
When entering the activiation code it displays Cubase LE 7 and then it ends…
some words of wisdom are much appreciated.
thx
Richard
According to the elicencer I have a permanent license, as I have already registered with the activation code.
However according to the my steinberg site my Cubase LE AI 7 is not activated.
Should I be concerned ?
Since I don’t get a response from the support in the last days and I see that there are many people with reactivation problems I try my luck here.
I reinstalled my laptop and wanted to reactivate my Cubase AI7 on the MySteinberg page, it says I haven’t registered my Cubase yet which is wrong. When I try to reactivate it says that my product is already registered (right) and the code can’t be used again. When I try to reactivate in my account I get a code that doesn’t work saying again I already have used it for activation… Any ideas or do I have to wait for the support? And if so how long does it take? I’m waiting 5 days now which seems to be a long time for todays standards…
You seem to have same problem as me, did you get emailed a new code? I never did even though support answer above suggested I would.

How long do you wait? I didn’t got a answer yet. It’s five days now but it seems like the support will take forever, some people on Facebook say they’re waiting more than two weeks. This makes me rethink my plans on upgrading Cubase. I was using it in the past and still think it’s one of the best. But that isn’t really a option if you need the program and have to wait so long for a response.
Still nothing back-pity as it’s so complex to try and get it re-installed and poor customer service as well
So i still can’t use software-maybe i will just download the trial version again-at least then i will have something rather than nothing
So, I’m starting to feel a bit like a chorus here. I’m just trying to get a clear answer here before I go ahead and spend $27.99 for something I am not sure will work.
I have Cubase 7 LE installed on a machine that has no internet connection. I do not have it installed on any other machine. I cannot activate the software without an internet connection. A possible solution to this seems to be the eLicenser but I do not know if I must first have the software loaded and activated on another machine first to get the eLicenser set up with my license, or can I just put the license on the eLicenser without doing that?
I am trying to comply with Steinberg’s terms within the constraints of my application rather than just hack it, but I don’t want to buy something additional that is not going to work.
Hi JHP,
I have installed Elicencer, activation codes has been entered and accepted. It says “cubase Le 7” full license however when I try to use the software form the desktop icon it says - “no Valid License found”".
What do I do now…? Its been a frustrating week for me as I’ve tried all that thought should be done.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Regards
Sachin
Also can you please provide me a link to download Cubase Le 7, the site only give update link.
The following message deos not help since there is no download option under “My Products” ---------
""Alternatively, a new complete installation file of Cubase LE 7.0.80 can be downloaded through your MySteinberg account (My Products → Downloads). An existing Cubase LE 7 registration is required. “”
Please help! We have buy new Lexion Omega soundcard with CuBase LE 5 included. We installed latest version of eLicense. Try to register my CuBase in MySteinberg via eLicence.
It says:
Your eLicenser with the number ********* ******** was successfully registered.
Currently, there is no valid Steinberg product license found on this eLicenser.
Still not got mine working and no reply from customer service-I was going to ring their help number but opening times is when i’m away at work without my laptop, guess i’m not going to be using Cubase again
Hi There,
So I bought the CI2+ Production kit and the Yamaha footswitch for using on my Windows 7 PC.
Included Cubase AI6 and Wavelab LE7. First tried some days only Cubase without registering. Since I liked it very much, the handling buttons in combination with the Cubase software is exactly what I need.
So I installed also Wavelab and started the registering.
At first I got error messages from the licenser that it could not write into the POS directory from the software. And it only showed the Wavelab LE7.
I downloaded a newer Licenser program, which did work and then it shows MP3 Encoder, Cubase AI 6 and Wavelab LE 7.
The first two are mentioned to be limited in use and time, the Wavelab says Full version but also say Dem???
So I tried to register them on the website aswell, but that doesnt work at all, whatever I try.
In my user account on the Steinberg site, It will only show the Wavelab LE 7.
I was told that it was possible after registration to get a permanent license???
I read somewhere on the site that support for the older version is stopped, and no updates, but does that also mean I cannot get a working program so it leaves my just bought and expensive Steinberg hardware inaccessible and unusable???
Please advice
Mind you, I dont mind paying for an upgrade for better and newer software, but since not even that is listed at what costs? (Or are we forced into buying on top of this extra software ? That is not led to believe in the package.)
UPDATE 09-02-2015:
I have now succesfully registered my Cubase version 6. Not sure what exactly did the trick since I was trying a lot. Or perhaps support has been working behind the scenes on solving stuff (although no email of it received).
But here’s what I found and tried in case it can help others aswell;
- Upon checking my Anti Virus (Kaspersky Internet Security) I found that a few programs from Steinberg outside the Trusted list. Looked mostly the very first install programs, but I moved them anyway to Trusted.
- Downloaded and installed update to Cubase 6.0.7 (after this point no change found - tried the licenser maintenance update and the website),
- I even Purchased upgrade to Cubase 7, but that didnt work either, since after inserting the received code it said that version 6 was not registered and then upgrade was not possible…(luckily there is a 14 day refund possibility)
- Today I also updated the CI2+ tools, of which I found an download.
- Also found an telephone number on the website, so ready to call the helpdesk in the afternoon…
- Tried the Licenser Maintenance once more, then logged in once more at the website.
- And behold and amaze, it suddenly showed an Cubase 6 entry (!!!), and above the page in a Big red Block it stated to have a key aswell. Which I copied it into the licenser, and it went up and down a few times for getting info to and from the internet. But then it turned to a full version. (so i might reconsider the upgrade anyway hihi)
So as said, not sure what did the trick, support working in the background ?, my antivirus setting ?, the purchase perhaps wakening some people? Or just a slow licensing system server ?
I also wanted to try the Cubase iC Pro Remote Extension for Android. After downloading and installing the trial found on the site, and setting everything it did not work…(this apparently also needs a License key - so whats the point of supplying a trial I thought).
Then there is a link to the shop where you can request a trial…and got an email with a trial License key. And hey it even works now (just not on Android 5.x) !!!
The way Steinberg is presenting their software is very sketchy, and definitly not always thought through to customer point of view.
Better or more Customer relations/helpdesk people would not be bad.
Hi, I’m very new to this, so some help will be amazing.
I received my Cubase LE5 disc today after purchasing a Lexicon Alpha USB interface.
I followed the steps;
Install Cubase
Download and install eLCC
Make an account on Steinberg
Enter the Soft eLicenser serial number
At this stage I have no idea where to go from here. My account on Steinberg and eLCC both say there is no product in existence even though I have installed Cubase.
Hi,
I got a slightly used Yamaha THR10 (the unit only) from a friend without the activation code. When I asked for it, he said that it was misplaced sometime ago. Can I still avail of the cubase AI software that is bundled with the said unit upon purchase for free? If yes, how?
Thanks in advance…
got this messagge when im trying to enter the activation code, anybody?thanks
the date/time settings of this computer seem to be incorrect.
Check this link for solution… elicenser - date & time incorrect error (solution) - Cubase - Steinberg Forums
Im sure my time setting is right. My friend said it has something to do with time server maintenance, daylight saving time or whatsoever he said.Anyway thank you.
Dont know about depending on your location, but perhaps you can try then to enter the servers time on your machine?
Its a german company I take it that the servers would be on European time. End of the month there is the switch to Daylight savings time (summertime).
