How to activate, register and get Cubase LE running

How do I create a Soft-eLicenser on my computer?? Newbie here, thanks in advance for your help, much appreciated, not an easy download/install for a redneck like me lol  Bought the UR22, registered, trying to use the Cubase AI DAW that came with it.
Thanks again,
Bill v
P.S. I have downloaded the eLicenser software, opened file in ā€œPrograms Files (x86)ā€, {there is an eLicenser Folder in ā€œProgram Filesā€ but not the extra folders as there is in "Programs Files (x86)}. I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit, 4G RAM, Intel 2.16, not sure if this is relevant? So anyway, I click eLicenser/eLCC/eLCC.exe/hit the green activate button, it seems to recognize the cubase AI when I’ve input the activation number, but the next screen tells me ā€œCurrently, there is no eLicenser connected to your computer which you can d/l your license to. Please connect an USB …so on so on… if you want to d/l the license to a so called Soft-eLicenser, [which I do] pls contact vender to learn how to create on your computerā€ I did, they gave me a phone number here in Canada M-F, 10-6. I was really wanting to use over weekend, but guess not in the cards.
What did I miss?? Ty once more.

I had to restore my pc. I have reinstalled Cubase AI 7. I have registered my new elicenser number. I am not able to get an activation code for Cubase AI. What do I do?

This forum is useless!

Hi, think I’m having the same issue…

I downloaded the trial version of Cubase Essentials 7 from the Steinberg site, installed it along with eLicenser. I can see the eLicenser serial number in the Control Center but when entering that in My Steinberg I don’t see the product in the list (screen shot attached).

ā€œCurrently, there is no valid Steinberg product license found on this eLicenser.ā€

If anyone has a solution to this I’d love to hear it, been having a nightmare with it!

Cheers

Andy

Hi,

I hope I haven’t missed any answers to this - if so - I’m sorry - if you can point me to it I’ll be really grateful. I’m a bit of a dunce with these things and I’ve been trying to work it out myself but thought it was worth asking for some advice before my 30 days expires.

I’m studying a music technology course by distance learning and I was sent Cubase LE6 on a disc and I was given a serial number along with it. I ran the program and downloaded the eLicensor. I never seemed to be given an option for the serial number - it downloaded fine without it and I’ve tried the longer numbers that have come up on the eLicensor but it always says that there’s no valid product. Am I missing a step do you think? How does the eLicensor know what product it is I’m trying to license? I’m aware this is probably a really stupid question but I just can’t seem to work it out myself! I’d be really grateful for any advice!

Many thanks and kind regards,

Heather

Hi!

So you have installed Cubase LE 6, right? Do you have a program called ā€œeLicenser Control Centerā€ on your computer? If yes, open it, click on the top left green button and there you can enter your serial number.
If you don’t have the eLicenser Control Center on your PC, head over to www.elicenser.net and download it from there. Follow the previous steps.

You should then be able to open Cubase LE 6.

I just bought a new audio rig that came with a license and download link for Cubase LE 7. I’ve created an account, installed the eLicenser, etc, but when I click on the link to actually DOWNLOAD Cubase, it says the URL is bad. I tried sending a message to support, but I keep getting error message.

Where is a WORKING link, please?

Same here…I just purchased the M-Audio M-track plus mkII audio interface and Le7 came with it. Opened an account and activated it and all good. Then when i click on the Download for PC link, its gives me an error just like yours. Page error…

Looks like that page is down for some reason…Maybe maintenance??

Hi.

Sorry for the inconvenience, there was a small hiccup with the links. Can you try to download it again?

Best
Fabian

Its working now Ya…Downloading…

Thanks

Hi,

Yes it’s installed and I’ve been using it. This is the message that keeps coming up:

Soft-eLicenser: 4531354313 0BB7F1A4CC eLicenser name
No products found on this eLicenser.

The code doesn’t seem to be long enough and it won’t give Cubase LE6 as an option. Where do I input the serial number that came with the disc - there never seems to be an o[ption for that and I wonder if that’s where I’m going wrong.

Thanks very much!

Heather

I’m running into a situation where when I try to go gor my activation code I am told ā€œNo products found on this eLicenser.ā€
I have the current e-Licenser version but I just can’t seem to get an activation code for Cubase Le 5. I was looking around the web and somewhere it said I just have to wait for the code in an email but it’s just not coming. What do I do?

Hello,

I’ve been a longtime pro user (and big fan :sunglasses:) of Nuendo on Windows, and since moving overseas I’ve simplified my home studio as follows:

  • a MacBook Pro now running Yosemite (10.10.3)
  • new NI Komplete Audio 6
  • Nord Stage EX compact

I just purchased the Komplete Audio 6* MIDI interface which came bundled with Cubase LE6 plus some VSTs and other NI goodies.

But when I tried to install Cubase, it said it didn’t support MacOS 10.5 or higher.

Then I found the instructions for using the Installer Tool to get this version onto Yosemite, which worked, and I successfully installed Cubase LE6.

However, after launching it, I found that it doesn’t work properly on my machine – it only recognizes keyboard input, no mouse clicks – and the highest MacOS version the upgrade page supports is 10.9.

I understand bundled software going out of date, that Cubase LE6 is well past its shelf life now, but I’m pretty frustrated that there doesn’t appear to be a way for me to get the software I paid for in a bundle to work with an OS that’s been out for almost a year.

I have some projects coming up that I was planning to use this configuration for and I really hope I don’t have to shell out another few hundred $$S for a newer DAW just because my OS is too new for the currently supported upgrade path. :frowning:

Please advise. Thanks!

Laura

Hi, I recently purchased a Zoom H1 which came with Cubase Le7.
I have downloaded the program along with eLicencer Control Center.
When the Control Center starts it wants to do the online synchronization and maintenance and it will not connect to the internet. and the same when I enter my activation code I can not download, despite my computer being connected to the web. I have checked out all my firewalls and everything but the program is allowed internet access. I do not have a USB so I think I need Soft e-Licencer but i don’t know how to get my hands on that. any help would be massively appreciated.

Hi. i have just purchased an Alesis multimix 8 with Cubase LE loaded on it. I put the disk in my drive and it asked me to register the product. so i completed all the entries and then it asked me to put in my email address and send it off. I would then recieve an activation code in my email. I looked in inbox and me spam but have not received any such mail. I tried to do it three times. each time no such mail arrived. i double checked i had entered my email in correctly which i have done. but no such activation code has arrived. what on earth has gone wrong. Please help!

Hello , a little help here cause im about to flip , i cannot find out what im doing wrong in activating cubase le 5 , which i got with a lexicon alpha card .

I installed the eLicence Control Center (newest version) , registered the key to MyStainberg account but it doesn’t give me an activation code .
PLease some help …

I have bought the Lexicon Alpha package, with Cubase LE5 and a 25 digit serial number and have the same problem.
It is just IMPOSSIBLE to get the SW activated…Steinberg CHEATS its custumers so badly.

This is my first experiance with ā€œSteinbergā€ā€¦the company DOES NOT CARE AT ALL about this problem.
I have PAID for this SW but their SIMPLY IGNORE IT !!!

Moreover, they are SO MEAN, they even do not allow you to ask at the support-center, because
ā€œVoraussetzung für diese Supportleistung ist, dass Sie Ihr Produkt in MySteinberg registriert haben.ā€
So they REQUIRE to registrate FIRST, but at the same time Steinberg MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE to registrate…

NEVER would I recommend one of my friend to EVER buy ANYTHING from Steinberg !!!

I’ve just bought a Zoom R24.
A disc for installing Cubase LE6 was part of the package.
I’ve installed it on a Toshiba 660 laptop (Windows 7, Home Premium), successfully registered it on My Steinberg and received the activation code for the latest version of eLCC which I updated yesterday.

The problem is that Cubase just won’t start up. When I click to open the programme, it starts to initialize but it locks up every time at the same stage of the initialisation.
An alert window flashes up and instantly disappears, too quickly to be read, at the precise point when Cubase is ā€œInitializing: Video File Handlingā€.
The program them locks up while it’s ā€œInitializing: Video Playerā€.
Then comes a message from Windows;

ā€œCubase LE AI Elements 6 has stopped working
Windows is checking for a solution to the problemā€

followed by…

ā€œA problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.ā€

This is totally consistent every single time I’ve tried to start the programme.

The troubleshooting advice on the ā€œMy Steinbergā€ site was to uninstall and re-install the Cubase package.
I’ve done that twice now and it has not made any difference.

What do I do now?

I install the cubase le 5 but when i add the license i have the following message from the site Currently, there is no valid Steinberg product license found on this eLicenser. What i do from here???help me please

I had to repeat the entire process several times before I got all the codes. No idea why but it might be worth going through it all again.
