How to do Collect and Save with all samples from Drum Track?

Hi!
I recently switched from Ableton and am currently setting up my template in Cubase (version 14). I’m not entirely sure what the equivalent of the Collect and Save function is called in Cubase, so I might be using the wrong term.

I’m facing an issue: I want to gather and save the project with all the used files, but the samples I used in the Drum Track don’t appear in the Media Pool.

Question:

  • How can I properly use this function to ensure that all the samples from the Drum Track are saved in the project folder?

I’d appreciate any advice or instructions! :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, that’s very sad. This is a major flaw that needs to be fixed as soon as possible; otherwise, this tool turns out to be incomplete and unreliable.
I hope the developers read the forum.

It obviously was a new feature in this release so I suspect it will get updated sooner rather than later…but time will tell.

The topic was created back in November of last year, and now it’s already the end of February, yet Steinberg still hasn’t fixed the issue with their new drum machine, namely:

  1. Samples do not appear in the Pool window (Ctrl + P) and, as a result, are not saved in the project. Even if you back up the project, the drum machine pads still reference the original sample locations.
  2. When routing each pad to a separate mixer channel and then deleting a pad, the channel remains and cannot be removed in any way except by completely deleting the main drum machine channel.

Steinberg, please pay attention to this issue. You announced your drum machine with great hype and enthusiasm, yet now you are neglecting its bugs.

The current topic regarding these problems is here – Cubase 14 Drum Machine does not save samples
