Solved
Sorry I’m so stupid that I didn’t check if group editing is enabled and it indeed was on. Idk why it was checked on, but solved anyways.
Hi, I’ve never linked those channels nor MIDI events before, but today it’s linked for some reason. And I don’t know HOW it was linked without me noting it.
If I change either one of these positions, another one follows it and if I delete it the same thing happen to another.
The MIDI events don’t look like they’re linked by the look of upper right corner like this (quote from a similar post: How do I uncoupled linked MIDI tracks?)
This is happening all over the project where same MIDI events are stacked together. What I did was just alt click + drag and make a duplicate MIDI length and note event each time. What did I do wrong or is Cubase acting up?
No temporary solution found at the moment and this issue is driving me nuts. Please send help!
Cubase 12 Pro (Ver. 12.0.52)
M2 Mac Mini Pro (Ventura 13.2)
First those aren’t MIDI Events. MIDI Events are things like MIDI Note or cc messages. What you are showing are MIDI Parts, which are basically containers to hold MIDI Events. The equal sign indicates it is a Shared Copy, meaning any edits you make to one Part will occur in all the Shared Copies.
To make them independent, Select and use Edit>Functions>Convert To Real Copy
So like I said they are not shared copies. If I draw random notes in one of those MIDI parts, it doesn’t reflect to another MIDI part. It just follows whereever I move them to.
Sorry I misread your initial post & thought the pics you posted showing the equal signs were on your Parts.
Are you saying that if you Select Helicopter 1 then Helicopter 2 also gets Selected? And if you move Helicopter 1 to Bar 10 then Helicopter 2 also moves to Bar 10?
Thank you guys for helping me. Forgot to post in the reply section, but my issue has been solved.
I was an idiot stupid bastard for not checking whether group editing was enabled. It was turned on, but I never intentionally enabled it. I guess I pressed the wrong button/key command or something at some point. So sorry.
