I just upgraded to N5.5 and discovered independent lane cutting is no longer possible. Now all lanes of a track are cut at the same time. Independent lane cutting can only be done using a workaround (the ‘2’ option, select a range and select shift-x). I cannot see the logic in this. I cannot think this is progress for any Nuendo or Cubase user regarding usability. Who agrees Steinberg should reverse this change?
Check the Cubase forum, where this feature has been around a lot longer. A lot of similar sentiments being expressed there.
IMHO there are + and - to the new lanes behaviour but I hope Steiny don’t consider the work FINISHED.

I’d like to see a pref for “old” lanes behaviour - I do not like the new one myself for this main reason (amongst others)
