Is there a way to setup MIDI Remote to work like QCs?

The MIDI remote feature provides a lot of customization and almost reminds me of Ableton Live macros. However, Live macros can be used as interactive UI components–meaning they can function like Cubase’s QCs and also a MIDI remote.

Is there a way to setup MIDI Remote to behave like QCs? For example, I could just create knobs and sliders that I can easily control with a mouse?

From what I can tell so far, I can set up generic MIDI ports, then create knobs, assign those knobs to something like VSTs parameters, but then I can’t actually interact with the UI knob with my mouse.

As an example, in Live you can have these macros control many things and they can be controlled by the mouse and/or optionally mapped to MIDI hardware:

midi remote is for controlling actual midi controllers and you can only assign 1 thing. Maybe you could use the modulators section in Cubase for this? There is a macro knob modulator which you can assign multiple settings in a plugin and control them with 1 knob, if you can pull from multiple plugins I have never tried. I have no clue how this works in Live but I see this macro feature more and more in VSTi like Serum and Spire so I guess fool around with that modulator and find out

It’s the same with a QC. You can control a QC with your mouse or with a MIDI controller, once it is set up via MIDI Remote. Is that what you mean?

I prefer the flexibility and legibility of the MIDI remote UI and so that’s why I’m curious if it can be used in that way.

This is easier to read:

The purple color indicator is unclear in the QCs:

I forgot about the Macro knob. That’s great. Just tested it. Works essentially like the macros in Ableton Live. Drastically limited to 8 however.

You actually have way more controllers than that, but they live somewhere else:

Wow, there are so many, old, hidden features in here.
