As the above, is there not a way? Maybe with logical editor, but I was curious if anybody knows of a way. I find it odd that I can’t get this behavior to function. It would make alot of sense to me especially when manually adjusting automation to have a pre definied Loop set with right and left locators and then to have the range tool select within it on that specific track only (especially on Groups with no events to follow). The Select in Loop features selects all of the tracks. And Cycle follows Range is the opposite of it etc. Any thoughts anyone. Thanks in advance.
I don’t completely understand.. Is this about automation? Perhaps a video or screenshot helps explain it?
I’m looking for a fast way - hotkey ideally to quickly make range select one track within loop as below
This has been requested since at least a decade ago, some have tried to create a macro to accomplish it but I don’t think it’s been a perfect solution.
@Semarus thanks - seems like an obvious thing to add, thanks for confirming. I thought dam I must have missed something somewhere. I will attempt a macro as well or look around for those posts. Going to add it again to feature requests.
posted in error…
thanks Stingray for that. So what you posted originally doesnt; work?. I saw through email.
Okay so I had a minute this morning to run a test and found a nice solution for this if anybody else is interested. Going to speed up my workflow for those quick manual automation tweaks especially on the group channel. For this you need to select the range tool yourself first and click on track location- as when I try it included in the macro it would select between A and B and remember previous location instead of going on the specific track. No biggy considering and you can be running combine tools as well if needed.
And it even works when selecting Multiple tracks if needed - just need to click range tool first.
Macro: Range to Loop (Left -Right Locators) on one, several or all tracks and related uses
