ah yeah, see… could reproduce what u mean ![]()
Hey guys,
same problem here. Any new solutions? I noticed, that changing the Main Language in Dorico from German to English and then restarting the programm sometimes affects, that the Name are correct. And when you change to German again, Names still are correct. But it changes to “Clarinet in Hb” again, later…
In French language I also had the name “Clarinette in Db”…Very strange !? Or is a Bb in french a Db :)?
Certainly not
It’s Si b
We’re still looking at this. It’s quite a frustrating problem to solve because it only occurs on Windows, and it isn’t reproducible in development builds.
So as of the time of writing, it’s not yet fixed, and there is a chance it won’t be fixed in the first maintenance release, which contains many other important fixes that we want to get out to our users as soon as possible. But it is absolutely something we intend to fix as soon as we can.
I know my issue is not the exact same as on windows, but I am using mac and having a similar issue, so maybe it’s not windows only? It concerns using German instrument names with English Letter option (Bb/B).
Sascha, if you can remind me specifically of the set of steps you are following to reproduce the problem on your Mac, that could potentially be very helpful.
We have finalised the first maintenance release now (barring any absolute showstopping problems) so a fix for this problem won’t be included, but we are planning another maintenance release before the end of February, so it is of course my fervent hope that we will solve this problem before then.
The issue is laying in this screenshot.
The settings are not represented in the Instrument Names, i.e. the Horn still being called „Horn in H“ although English letters were set to be chosen.
I was expecting „Horn in B“ and „Trompete in Bb“ (with the letter, not the symbol)
