Komplete Kontrol S-Series MK2 Custom Script

Hey, yes, you just remove it from here:
/Library/Application Support/Steinberg

There’s definitely a folder called ‘Components’ as you can see:

I just put mine into a .zip file and delete the originals, but I restored them for this screenshot so you can see how it should look.

Just make sure you’re going to the main /Library folder on the root of your main Mac drive, and not the user one.

For reference, the user Library looks like this and doesn’t have ‘components’ folder:

Hello my friend, I see an MK3 there as well  Did you get to try our scripts for the MK2 on an MK3? Did it work?

It actually works pretty well but there are some glitches so needs to be some tweaks, I’ve tended to use the standard NI scripts and Komplete Kontrol/Kontakt mostly though.

To be honest, i’m trying to avoid the procrastination and just trying to get music done, which is why I don’t come here and chat so much - but did see your mention!

This is exactly what I thought too when I got a workstation

This is certainly the best! :+1:

How is its keybed action? Same as the MK2?

Thank you for the quick help, I was in the user library indeed. Found it now!

@m.c Thanks for putting in the work for this crazy script by the way :sunglasses:

I went from an S49 to S88 so completely different. But loving it so far, but there’s so much unused plastic on those 88’s…luckily a Nektar CS12 fills it up nicely! haha.

Poly Aftertouch works nicely which I wasn’t expecting on an 88.

I’m still craving a Roland Fantom, though. I really think yours needs to go missing in the post as it heads towards my house!

Wow, very big change! I was thinking about getting an 88-keys too, but I couldn’t justify it enough, I’m no pianist

I cannot be objective, since my first ever workstation was a Roland. But I think it’s a fantastic piece. I abandoned midi controllers (its keybed is just great), write everything on it, no VSTs, no other gear (I barely ever needed more than 16 tracks) and then export audio tracks in Cubase for the final mix/master. This workflow finally got me out of the options’ paralysis I was suffering from

Thank you! I hope it will work well for you too

This looks amazing!!

I have a komplete kontrol s61 mk2

MacBook pro

Cubase 13

I was looking how I can create shortcuts or something. Bought a stream deck, but don’t know if it is something for me.

Is this script also for Cubase 13 pro?

Hi and welcome to this forum!
Yes, it’s compatible with Cb13 too (and 12).

Great I am going to try it for sure. Is it also possible to modify the script and replace some functions in the tool section? Like add track or instrument in stead of copy or seomthing

Sure.

Hi, there are instructions here:

However, why would you want to directly load the “full” version?

Unfortunately it seems that there are some problems with my s61. So I want to go back to originel settings.

What I did, I zipped the 2 bundle files in steinberg.

Uploaded the custom script.

But how can I go back to the original script?

I deleted the custom script and added the bundle files again.

This is all you had to do, if of course you properly placed the original bundle files to the exact location they previously were.

Forgive me, but does this work with the original S61 (MKi)?

Hi, unfortunately no, as far as I know…

This is pretty amazing, well done!
I just downloaded this and got it up and running on my S88 Mk3 — and it is kind of working…but the display isn’t working the way it should. On my Mk3, the “Mute/Solo” button at the top never goes away, no matter what page I’m on. So this pushes your whole UI down and off the screen - meaning the bottom is cutoff on the MK3, making it impossible for me to know what each knob is doing, unless that is listed at the top. Also, to my testing so far, the buttons don’t do anything - only the knobs.
The other thing is that, when in MIXER view, the meters are pretty jumpy, and not nearly as smooth as they are in the default DAW mode of the Mk3. They aren’t very representative of what is actually going on and just kind of looks…buggy.

A lot of it works though! Even for the controls that I can’t see what they are doing, I was able to figure out by messing around randomly. Obviously, its not going to work for me because of this, but its still really cool.
I was wondering if you’ve gotten a Mk3 and if you’re thinking about updating this script for the Mk3? It sure needs it…

I’m not a coder by any means, but I’m not afraid to mess around in VSC — do you have any tips for how I could fix some of the display issues I’m encountering on the Mk3? Particularly, what file am I looking for that would help me mess with those settings?

Hats off to you for putting this together
