Laissez vibrer - tie note in a second repeat

Dear Dorico community, I’m having trouble adding a laissez vibrer tie to connect a C note from the previous bar to the second repeat. Dorico places it on the second tied whole note instead of the first. When I untie them, the result looks correct in Engrave and Print modes, but not in Write mode. However, as soon as I tie the last two whole notes together again, the laissez vibrer shifts back to the second note.

I’d really appreciate any help with this! I hope the Dorico team will consider addressing this long-standing, but possibly tricky-to-implement, issue.

The lv will always attach to the end of the 2nd note. So let it. Then apply the same adjustments that you would just to that lv (except the distance is much greater)…

See this post for another approach.

Thank you very much for your quick response. But what can I do if the first whole note is on an upper line and the second one is on a lower one? I tried adjusting the Start and End offsets, but the laissez vibrer mark stays on the lower line no matter what I do.

Thank you John, I will try out this workaround as well😊

Thank you John, quite a lot of manual tweaking, but it worked😊
