Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I would be interested to know how you achieved this and also to have the link to that thread.
Thank you so much for responding; this is driving me crazy!
Thereās no such link. I was asking that you open a new thread, so that I can answer there, without ādisturbingā this thread ![]()
Got it! Topic created here:
Thanks
Dear gurus,
I have a question about:
- Novation LaunchControl XL MK2
- Cubase Pro 15
My goal is to use my Novation LaunchControl XL as an MIDI Controller for mixing Dub Reggae as on an analog mixing desk, so:
- each of the eight XL channel strips are assigned to a Cubase channel
- the slider is (of course) the channel volume (drums, bass, guitarā¦)
- each of the three rotating knobs is an effect send (tape delay, spring reverb and room reverb)
- upper button row = solo channel
- lower button row = mute channel
With help of the Cubase Mapping Assistant I finally achieved this functions.
But what I am missing now is the correct visual feedback on the XL:
- The two lower button rows should be in sync with Cubase and have the same colour:
- solo = red
- mute = yellow
I use the LCXL_OQ.syx on my XL and the buttons light green and sometimes come out of sync with Cubase, e.g. if I click the Cubase solo button with the mouse and then on the XL.
- When a rotating knob is on 0 (fully counter-clockwise) it would be great if the LED below switches off to have a better overview of the FX sends.
As far I have learned I have to program this functions on my own, Cubase Mapping Assistant isnāt able to do so. I was a former programmer using Pascal, C++, HTML e.g. I read about Steinberg MIDI Remote API v1.1 Programmerās Guide, .js, .json, HUI and .midiremote files but I am confused even more.
I hoped I can use the Cubase Mapping Assistant and then edit the generated .midiremote to control the leds but that seems not possible.
Can anyone help me out?
Gery
