Why wouldn’t steinberg know that I bought Halion 3 years ago, I have patches in Halion 7 that won’t load because of no license. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?
First thing, I would go to your My Steinberg account and highlight the ‘Products’ tab on the left and see if you have HALion in your list of products. If so, does it say eLicenser? If it says eLicenser do you have your eLicenser plugged in?
Also, you might want to read through this - it may help you out.
If you have registered the HALion 3 Sound Sets in HALion 7 they will work without the USB-eLicenser being connected.
However there is one “extra” that apparently contains samples for which Steinberg does not have a license. If you have registered “HALion 3 Sound Set 5.hsb” then some patches will not load without the USB-eLicenser.
