yes its not too difficult , just follow the blueprints for what you want to do. graphics agents/LLM you can find a lot of All in one apps that make it easy to start .
have you done anything and in regards to cubase?
If you know how to install Python and use Github, and do a little bit of research, it’s not that difficult.
For example: Transkun for piano-to-MIDI.
why would you do that ?
BTW, SpectraLayers already does most of what people would find useful … and computes locally.
i can give you one example:
Give it the Cubase manuals and then ask it anything it will give the answer in no time and suggest things you could never thing about
Have you read the Cubase manuals or anyone else btw
Yes u can do that with it - you will need a RAG system to make it effective - but you dont need local AI for that , The free tier of most models will do that for you without the hassle of setup .
FWIW about the manuals yes I read the bits that I need
I read the manuals for all the new software I buy…sometimes even before the purchase. You’d be surprised at what you can learn if you put in the effort ![]()
You want a local llm so that you can ask a question without having to click on your web browser icon first.
Artists can’t make a dollar anymore because of AI, while the excuses to use it are so bottom-of-the-barrel it’s even down to “one less click”. (You spent more time on posting the question to this forum then you will save with your manual example)
That’s what the data centers are drinking up the rivers and burning all that electricity for. A fiddle instrument that sounds 2% better and one less click. Yup totally worth it.
Oh, don’t forget that it can help you name your cat.
Yup that was Microsoft’s official example for why you need to have copilot in your email, your smart phone, your notepad, your windows operating system, every single place there is computing. So that you can click on the AI search box and type the question instead of the um … google search box on the web browser. Makes total sense yup. Tech bros haven’t entirely lost their marbles over this AI, nope. Not at all. It’s totally normal.
So many manuals so little time .
Sorry if I misunderstood your original question – so you want to be able to install something locally, that will read all the manuals, figure out every possible capability of the application, and then be able to answer questions (“prompts”) suggesting things you could do with the applications, that you wouldn’t have even thought of?
I have some shares in OpenAI I could sell you … from my special pre-IPO stash. ![]()
Such as?..
