Lock the Playback cursor to mouse when zooming from timeline

Huge +1! Please bring back the old method … I stopped using the ruler zoom because of it :frowning:
If there are really ppl that like the new method, add an option in the preferences to switch between the 2 behaviors.

Just hold shift, click and hold, and drag down?

that’s good for zooming in without the cursor following but what I what is to zoom with the cursor and that the cursor stay locked with the pointer position instead of moving randomly … just like it used to be :stuck_out_tongue:

+1 for how it used to be.

+1 for a preference choice!

SteveInChicago,
I dont know how you find it beneficial? I am cubase user more than 15 years since vst technology first introduced and it’s always worked as it should. Cause if you look objectively it’s very illogical when u zoom out and want to drag your playback cursor line somewhere else in arrangement and you realize that playback line is not near where you want to be. For lot users and me it doesn’t make sense.

That is the main reason I won’t upgrade my 7.5 to8

Still not addressed in .03.

Not addressed in 8.5 Pro.

Is anyone experiencing a similar issue when they click and drag a left or right locator and move the mouse down to a track?

My big annoyance with C8 is that mouse and locator become detatched from eachother.

Still not addressed in 10.5.10.

Please fix this ASAP…

Please fix this or at least give us an option to lock the mouse to the locator. This is really inconveniant…

Yes, a fix would be great. It is a very frustration error. That or it is a very specific feature which doesn’t seem all that useful.

Hell Yeah!

Again… not fixed in 8.5.20. As a reminder, please visit 7.5. This is not an issue there.

It’s 2021 and I am using Cubase 11 and the problem is still there! SERIOUSLY
